EAST LANSING, Mich. — The 43-year-old gunman who opened fire killing three Michigan State University students legally purchased two firearms used in the shooting spree, police said Thursday. Anthony McRae, 43, shot and killed himself following an hours-long manhunt Monday. Police found two 9mm handguns in his possession, along with eight loaded magazines and a pouch with 50 rounds of loose ammunition, and two empty magazines in his backpack, according to detectives.
