MILWAUKEE COUNTY, Wis. (CBS 58) — In a story you'll see first on CBS 58, there's a happy ending for one of the dogs shot by a Thiensville police officer on April 23. Former Thiensville police officer Richard McCormick, as seen on surveillance video, fired 16 shots at two abandoned dogs. One of them, later named "BD" died. After weeks of surgeries and therapy, the other dog -- named Ranger -- was just adopted by the women who rescued him.

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) - Immigration enforcement activity has increased in Milwaukee, prompting emotional pleas from families and renewed criticism from local leaders. According to the Department of Homeland Security, 39 people were detained during enforcement operations in Wisconsin over the weekend. On Tuesday, family members, witnesses and elected officials gathered to speak about several of the arrests. "This does not make our city safer," said Milwaukee Ald. Marina Dimitrijevic.

CBS 58 obtained body camera video of the shooting, and we want to warn you, you may find it disturbing. "It was shocking. I mean, it was horrific and brutal," said Danielle Dietz, who along with Alicia Hegedus, rescued one of the dogs shot by former Thiensville Police Officer Richard McCormick.
