Chemical reprogramming of human pluripotent stem cells into 8-cell-like states
Dear Editor, Totipotent cells possess the unique capacity to generate all embryonic and extraembryonic tissues necessary to form a complete conceptus.1 In humans, this state exists transiently during the early cleavage stages, with zygotic genome activation (ZGA) occurring primarily at the 8-cell (8C) stage.2 Modeling this 8C-like totipotent state in vitro is therefore critical for deciphering early human development.

CSI Feedback via Joint Source-Channel Coding and Modulation: A Comprehensive Study for 6G Realization
1 Introduction In every 5G network, your phone and the base station are constantly whispering to each other. The phone reports back what the wireless channel looks like - this is called Channel State Information (CSI). Think of it as a real-time weather forecast for radio waves. Without it, the base station has no idea which direction to aim your signal or how to shape it so it reaches you cleanly. Here's the problem: the more antennas we add, the thicker that weather report becomes [1].

GBA1 F213I mutation increases the expression of LCN2 promoting neurodegeneration
Abstract GBA1 is the most frequently mutated gene in patients with sporadic Parkinson’s disease (PD), and carriers of GBA1 mutations exhibit an earlier age of PD onset and more severe clinical phenotypes. In an MPTP-induced PD model, we observed that Gba1 F213I point mutation mice displayed a more severe dopaminergic neuron loss in substantia nigra pars compacta (SNpc).
Fiber-integrated quantum frequency conversion for long-distance quantum networking
Abstract Signal photons emitted by quantum nodes typically fall outside the low-loss telecom window of optical fibers, leading to severe transmission losses. Quantum frequency conversion (QFC) offers an effective optical interface that bridges quantum nodes with telecom-band channels, enabling long-distance quantum communication. In this work, we demonstrate a compact, fiber-integrated QFC system with low noise and a high signal-to-noise ratio (SNR).
