For the Kuszak family, it was a moment they will never forget. The home run ball was presented to Ava’s parents. “It was magic,” said Kevin Kuszak, Ava Kuszak’s dad.

For the past three years, Tamera, Larry and hundreds of other season ticket holders have attended nearly every Husker softball home game at Bowlin Stadium. “We come to our little number 11, of course I have to watch the number its 7 and 8. We love our seats,” Tamera said. The fans have attended games in rain, snow and bitter cold.

Dozens forced to leave Kansas City motel as 48-hour notice expires

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) - Dozens of residents at Americas Best Value Inn were forced to leave the motel Thursday morning after being given just 48 hours to pack up and find new housing.The motel, located off Interstate 49 and Blue Ridge Boulevard, set an 11 a.m. Thursday deadline for all residents to vacate their rooms. Several families were still moving out as the deadline passed.The Kansas City Health Department said employees began looking at safety issues at the property in August.
