SAR object detection via adaptive shift-wise downsampling and frequency-spatially modulated feature fusion
Abstract Object detection in synthetic aperture radar (SAR) imagery is challenged by speckle noise, background clutter, and large variations in target scale. We present ASCE-SAR, a YOLO11-based detector that coordinates adaptive shift-wise downsampling with frequency-spatially modulated multi-scale fusion. In the backbone, the Adaptive Downsampling with Shift-Wise Convolution (ADSC) block combines structure-preserving downsampling and enlarged receptive-field modeling.
Knockdown of SPAG6 regulates triglyceride metabolism via the P38 MAPK/ERK/PPARα axis in acute myeloid leukemia
Abstract Numerous studies have already revealed that the development of acute myeloid leukemia (AML) is closely related to the dysregulation of lipid metabolism. The aim of this study was to elucidate the biological role and molecular mechanisms of Sperm Associated Antigen 6(SPAG6) in AML. Our research found that the expression level of SPAG6 was significantly elevated in clinical samples of AML compared to normal samples.
CGP60474, a novel MITD1-targeted inhibitor for bladder cancer progression via CDK4/cyclin D1 pathway modulation
Abstract Targeted therapy holds promise for advanced bladder cancer, but its development is limited by a lack of therapeutic targets. Here, we show that MITD1 is elevated in bladder cancer and associated with poor patient prognosis. We find that MITD1 drives cancer progression by interacting with the CDK4/cyclin D1 complex to regulate the cell cycle. Genetic deletion of MITD1 inhibits tumor growth, confirming its key role.

Social disconnection integrates genetic and proteomic risks in suicidal ideation and depression
Abstract Suicidal ideation (SI) and major depressive disorder (MDD) are complex psychiatric conditions arising from the interplay of genetic liability, molecular processes, and psychosocial factors. While these dimensions have been extensively studied in isolation, their joint contribution to SI and MDD remains unclear. This study integrates multi-modal data to elucidate these synergistic effects and develop robust models for individual-level risk stratification.
Geo-Hete-HyperGNN as a prior-free molecular hypergraph representation learning strategy
Abstract Molecular representation learning is a cornerstone of AI-driven chemical discovery. However, most molecular hypergraph models define hyperedges using expert-crafted rules and often overlook three-dimensional molecular geometry.
Dense soccer video captioning with global context and player position awareness
Abstract Sports video captioning plays an important role in understanding and describing dynamic visual content, and it is particularly challenging for long soccer broadcasts. Existing dense captioning methods often rely on local clips and may miss match-level temporal context or player-position cues, which can lead to captions with insufficient spatial and event-sequence detail.
An epithelial-derived epigenetic clock reveals pathway-level aging mechanisms in chronic lung disease
Abstract Biological aging is strongly associated with tissue vulnerability in the respiratory system, yet existing epigenetic clocks remain limited by insufficient tissue specificity and poor mechanistic interpretability. We developed and validated tissue-specific PathwayAge clocks for airway epithelium and pulmonary parenchyma by projecting DNA methylation profiles onto gene ontology pathways.
IL-6 signaling drives treg dysfunction and pathogenic Th1-like polarization in major depressive disorder
|
Abstract Major depressive disorder (MDD) is pathologically associated with inflammatory-immune dysregulation. While regulatory T cells (Tregs) are essential for immune homeostasis, clinical evidence have reported paradoxical dynamics (deficiency vs. expansion) of peripheral Tregs in MDD patients. The plasticity of Tregs and microenvironmental reprogramming mechanisms remain elusive, highlighting the need for pathology-driven biomarkers and targeted interventions.

A controlled in silico benchmark for GNN prediction of tissue dynamics
Abstract Graph Neural Networks (GNNs) are promising tools for predicting tissue dynamics, but choosing the right architecture remains difficult because experimental datasets are limited, noisy, and system-specific. We introduce a controlled in silico benchmark for comparing GNN architectures on a vertex-model task: predicting relaxed cell–cell interface lengths after a cell neighbor exchange.
Case Report: Basal ganglia brain abscess caused by Nocardia farcinica
Abstract We report a rare case of Nocardia farcinica brain abscess in the basal ganglia, detailing its diagnosis, management, and rehabilitation. Diagnosing brain abscess based solely on clinical and imaging findings remains extremely challenging. Fortunately, metagenomic next-generation sequencing (mNGS) proved valuable in this case by rapidly identifying the pathogen, thereby facilitating targeted antibiotic therapy.

Case presentation: An 11-year-and-3-month-old boy presented with short stature.
Washed Microbiota Transplantation as a Rescue Therapy for Refractory Unidentified Pathogen Intestinal Infections: Findings From a National Multi-Centre, Real-World Study
1 Introduction Intestinal bacterial infections result in a spectrum of symptoms ranging from self-limiting diarrhoea to life-threatening conditions such as severe dehydration, shock, malnutrition and even death (Petri Jr. et al. 2008). The primary treatment for enteric infections involves antibiotics, which paradoxically can exacerbate dysbiosis and provoke antimicrobial resistance, consequently contributing to the emergence of refractory infections (Shakoor et al. 2019; Timsit et al. 2025).

Dual-Modal Fusion Based on Peptide Sequence and Molecular Graph with Bidirectional Cross-Attention for Precise Peptide Toxicity Prediction
Abstract Click to copy section linkSection link copied! Peptide drugs have become an important direction in new drug development due to their high specificity, designability, and good biocompatibility. However, toxicity risk remains a key bottleneck limiting the translation of peptides from lead peptides to clinical applications. Therefore, there is an urgent need to develop a high-precision and scalable toxicity assessment framework.
Specialized aldo-keto reductases trigger complete degradation of mycotoxin deoxynivalenol - Nature Communications
Abstract The mycotoxin deoxynivalenol (DON) poses severe threats to human and animal well-being globally. Enzymatic degradation is the most effective way to eliminate DON toxicity, yet no catalytic process for complete degradation of DON has been uncovered. Here, we show that a metabolic pathway initiated by C3-epimerization and C8-reduction is responsible for complete degradation of DON in the DON-metabolizing bacterium Nocardioides sp. S5-5.

Molecular dynamics analyses of CLDN15 pore size and charge selectivity
Abstract Claudin-15 (CLDN15) molecules form channels that directly regulate cation and water transport. In the gastrointestinal tract, this transport indirectly impacts nutrient absorption. However, the mechanisms governing ion transport through these channels remain poorly understood. We addressed this question by building on our previous cell culture studies and all atom molecular dynamic simulation model of CLDN15.
