Ghd7 ‑triggered transcriptional regulation for synergistically improving rice eating quality and yield
Abstract Improving both eating quality and yield remains a major challenge in rice breeding. Here, we identify Ghd7 as the causal gene underlying the grain amylose content QTL qAC7 and reveal Ghd7–triggered transcriptional regulation that balances starch and protein to coordinate yield and quality. Ghd7 transcriptionally activates PCF3 and exhibits dominant epistasis over it.
Multi-tissue miRNA networks in preterm birth: from molecular mechanisms to precision medicine
Abstract Preterm birth (PTB) remains the leading cause of neonatal mortality and long-term complications worldwide, yet its molecular pathogenesis—particularly the coordinated regulation across different gestational tissues—is poorly understood. MicroRNAs (miRNAs) are key regulators of gene expression and exhibit tissue-specific patterns in pregnancy-related tissues, including the cervix, placenta, and amniotic membrane.

3D Self‐Supported Catalyst with Multiple Active Components for Efficient Neutral Hydrogen Evolution Reaction
Abstract Up to now, the hydrogen evolution reaction (HER) are mainly investigated in strong acidic/alkaline electrolytes. However, the HER in extreme conditions shows several drawbacks, including the corrosion of electrolyzer, water pollution, and the use of expensive ani-on/cation exchange membranes. The HER in neutral media is desirable to address these issues. Nevertheless, the neutral HER still faces a great challenge due to its slow kinetics.

Metastable Phase Cu with Optimized Local Electronic State for Efficient Electrocatalytic Production of Ammonia from Nitrate
Abstract Electrocatalytic nitrate (NO3−) reduction reaction (NITRR) is an inspiring route for ammonia (NH3) synthesis at ambient condition. The metallic Cu-based material with low cost and high activity is one of the most promising electrocatalysts for NITRR. However, due to the weaker atomic H*-providing capacity, the produced intermediate—nitrite tends to accumulate on its surface, leading to unsatisfactory NH3 selectivity and Faradic efficiency (FE).

219.6 W large-mode-area Er:Yb codoped fiber amplifier operating at 1600 nm pumped by 1018 nm fiber lasers
Abstract We demonstrate, to the best of our knowledge, the first high-power large-mode-area Er:Yb codoped fiber amplifier pumped by 1018 nm fiber lasers. The output power reaches 219.6 W, which is the highest power operating at 1600 nm with near-diffraction-limitation beam quality. The 1018 nm pumping scheme contributes to the mitigation of Er,Yb fiber bottlenecking, improvement in signal gain, and reduction of heat generation.
Power scalability of a continuous-wave high-power Er-Yb co-doped fiber amplifier pumped by Yb-doped fiber lasers
Abstract The power scaling of Er-Yb co-doped fiber lasers and amplifiers has been limited by the bottleneck effect of energy-transfer saturation between Yb ions and Er ions. The emerging method of Er-Yb co-doped fiber amplifiers pumped by Yb-doped fiber lasers is considered as an approach to enhance the threshold of the bottleneck effect. In this paper, we quantitatively characterize the threshold of the bottleneck effect via the method of extreme value analysis of the second-order derivative.
Effect of escitalopram on Aβ levels and plaque load in an Alzheimer mouse model
Abstract Background Several neurotransmitter receptors activate signaling pathways that alter processing of the amyloid precursor protein (APP) into β-amyloid (Aβ). Serotonin signaling through a subset of serotonin receptors suppresses Aβ generation. We proposed that escitalopram, the most specific selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor (SSRI) that inhibits the serotonin transporter SERT, would suppress Aβ levels in mice.
