Frontiers | Comparative analysis of oncologic outcomes: kidney-sparing surgery versus radical nephroureterectomy for localized high-risk upper tract urothelial carcinoma
Department of Urology, The First Affiliated Hospital of Chongqing Medical University, Chongqing, China Background: The kidney-sparing surgery (KSS) technique for upper tract urothelial carcinoma (UTUC) shows potential, yet its efficacy in treating high-risk UTUC is a topic of debate. This study seeks to assess and compare the impact of KSS versus radical nephroureterectomy (RNU) on renal function and long-term oncological outcomes in patients with localized high-risk UTUC.

A Cross-Medium Uplink Communication Model Merging Acoustic and Millimeter Waves
2.4. Verification of Cross-Medium Communication Channel Model A water-to-air cross-medium communication system was constructed to validate the model’s accuracy. The equipment and system diagrams are depicted in Figure 3. A single frequency acoustic signal was emitted underwater from a UW:30 speaker. The surface waves, triggered by the acoustic signal propagating to the water surface, were detected using the AWR1642 mm wave radar board provided by TI.

Open AccessCase Report Abstract We report a case of inflammatory myofibroblastic tumor of the bladder (IMTB) that arises from left posterior bladder wall. The IMTB usually demonstrates slight hypointensity on T1WI, heterogeneous bright hyperintensity on T2WI, hyperintensity on DWI, and no restricted diffusion on ADC map. IMTB exhibits irregular ring enhancement and scatters stripe-like enhancement in central area with progressive and persistent enhancement pattern on CE-MRI.
Phacomatosis Pigmentokeratotica Associated With Raynaud Phenomenon, Segmental Nevi, Hyperhidrosis, and Scoliosis
To the Editor: Phacomatosis pigmentokeratotica (PPK) is a rare epidermal nevus syndrome complicated by multiple extracutaneous anomalies, including skeletal defects and neurologic anomalies. Less common associations include lateral curvature of the spine and hyperhidrosis. We present a patient with PPK and unilateral Raynaud phenomenon in addition to a segmental distribution of melanocytic nevi, hyperhidrosis, and scoliosis.

The demand for inpatient and ICU beds for COVID-19 in the US: lessons from Chinese cities
Abstract Background: Sustained spread of SARS-CoV-2 has happened in major US cities. Capacity needs in Chinese cities could inform the planning of local healthcare resources. Methods: We described the intensive care unit (ICU) and inpatient bed needs for confirmed COVID-19 patients in two Chinese cities (Wuhan and Guangzhou) from January 10 to February 29, 2020, and compared the timing of disease control measures in relation to the timing of SARS-CoV-2 community spread.

Metal- and solvent-free direct C-H thiolation of aromatics with sulfonyl chloride A simple, efficient and green method for the direct thiolation of aromatic compounds using commercially available sulfonyl chlorides as the sulfur source was disclosed under metal- and solvent-free conditions. The C-S bond was constructed via direct C-H functionalization of diverse aromatics under an oxygen atmosphere. In this process, various diaryl sulfides were synthesized in moderate to excellent yields.
Traditional Chinese Medicine Use in the Treatment of Acute Heart Failure in Western Medicine Hospitals in China: Analysis From the China PEACE Retrospective Heart Failure Study
Clinical Perspective What Is New? Traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) was used in nearly every Western hospital in China for the treatment of acute decompensated heart failure, although the extent of use varied substantially by hospital. Although TCM was not used in lieu of evidence‐based therapies for heart failure, we found a signal for harm with the most widely used TCM. What Are the Clinical Implications?

Transcription of G-quartet Supramolecular Aggregates into Hierarchical Mesoporous Silica Nanotubes
The use of 5-guanosine monophosphate (GMP) with Sr2+ ions formed G-quadruplex bundles as supramolecular templates for the preparation of hierarchical mesoporous silica nanotubes materials was reported here, and some mesopores with diameter of 4 - 22 nm were obtained. Furthermore, some mesopore channels which run perpendicularly to the center axis of tube and penetrate right through the outer wall of nanotubes were achieved by removing the templates.
