A chlorinated organic cation enables stable 2D/3D tin iodide perovskite photovoltaics
Abstract Tin halide perovskites (THPs) offer narrower bandgaps and improved environmental safety compared with the widely studied lead-based perovskites, but their air sensitivity has hindered their progress and demands new material design to enable their practical applications. Here we report stable and efficient 2D/3D tin perovskite solar cells enabled by new ultrastable 2D and quasi-2D THPs based on the 4-chloro-phenethylammonium (4ClPEA) cation.

A high-conviction multi-asset portfolio strategy focused on consistent risk-adjusted returns and long-term capital growth. The strategy targets 20%+ annual returns while maintaining disciplined risk management, with maximum drawdowns capped at approximately -15% annually and an ongoing objective to control drawdowns within -10% where possible.
Cycling of Fe(II)/Fe(III) in the euphotic zone mediated by mineral photocatalysis
Abstract The marine iron cycle is now recognized as fast and dynamic, partly fueled by vast particulate iron inputs. Yet the mechanisms that activate this reservoir to sustain productivity remain unresolved. Here we show that mineral photocatalysis, an overlooked abiotic process, provides a key activation pathway for Fe(II) production.
Modular electrochemical synthesis for flexible chemical manufacturing
Electrochemical synthesis typically occurs in coupled systems, in which anodic and cathodic half-reactions proceed simultaneously in the same cell. This Comment discusses strategies that can decouple half-reactions to achieve modular electrochemical synthesis for flexible chemical manufacturing.
Intra-arterial infusion of bevacizumab for the treatment of peritoneal metastatic high-grade renal cell carcinoma: a case report
Abstract Background: Metastatic renal cell carcinoma (mRCC) is a common type of urologic malignancy with limited systemic treatment, especially for extensive metastatic lesions in the peritoneum and greater omentum. Case report: A 35-year-old male patient was admitted to the hospital with left lumbar pain, leading to the discovery of left renal mass. He subsequently underwent a nephrectomy, with postoperative pathology confirming RCC.
Multicomponent solid-solution alloy negative electrode for Li-metal batteries - Nature Communications
Abstract Lithium metal batteries possess the high theoretical specific energy owing to the high theoretical specific capacity of lithium metal. However, practical implementations necessitate a reduction in both lithium mass fraction and lithium utilization within the negative electrode to enhance cycling life and suppress dendrite formation, resulting in a practical reversible capacity of only 30 – 50% of the theoretical value.

Native Top-Down Proteomics of Endogenous Protein Complexes Enabled by Online Two-Dimensional Liquid Chromatography
Abstract Protein complexes are essential for virtually all biological processes, yet their structural characterization remains a major challenge due to their heterogeneous, dynamic nature and the complexity of the proteome.
Rational design of a foldon-derived heterotrimer guided by quantitative native mass spectrometry
Abstract Designing stable hetero-oligomeric protein complexes with defined inter-subunit stoichiometries remains a significant challenge. In this study, we report the design of a highly selective heterotrimeric assembly derived from the well-known foldon homotrimer. We generated an aab heterotrimer by introducing the Q11E modification to destabilize the homotrimer and a compensatory modification, either V14A or V14L, to stabilize the hydrophobic core of the heterotrimer.

Opto-twistronic Hall effect in a three-dimensional spiral lattice - Nature
Abstract Studies of moiré systems have explained the effect of superlattice modulations on their properties, demonstrating new correlated phases1. However, most experimental studies have focused on a few layers in two-dimensional systems. Extending twistronics to three dimensions, in which the twist extends into the third dimension, remains underexplored because of the challenges associated with the manual stacking of layers.
Should We Publish Fewer Papers?
It is perhaps an understatement to say that all of us in modern society, especially academic researchers, are overwhelmed. There are always more papers to write, more grant applications to submit, more administrative reports to file, more committees to serve on, more conferences to attend, and more manuscript (and grant) reviews to perform. Particularly on the academic papers, the number of peer-reviewed research publications has been growing rapidly by about 8–9% each year.

Exciton engineering of 2D Ruddlesden–Popper perovskites by synergistically tuning the intra and interlayer structures - Nature Communications
Abstract Designing two-dimensional halide perovskites for high-performance optoelectronic applications requires deep understanding of the structure-property relationship that governs their excitonic behaviors. However, a design framework that considers both intra and interlayer structures modified by the A-site and spacer cations, respectively, has not been developed.

Design Principles and Developments of Integrated Solar Flow Batteries
Conspectus Due to the intermittent nature of sunlight, practical round-trip solar energy utilization systems require both efficient solar energy conversion and inexpensive large-scale energy storage. Conventional round-trip solar energy utilization systems typically rely on the combination of two or more separated devices to fulfill such requirements. Integrated solar flow batteries (SFBs) are a new type of device that integrates solar energy conversion and electrochemical storage.

Solid-Solution-Based Metal Alloy Phase for Highly Reversible Lithium Metal Anode
Lithium metal batteries are vital devices for high-energy-density energy storage, but the Li metal anode is highly reactive with electrolyte and forms uncontrolled dendrite that can cause undesirable parasitic reactions and, thus, poor cycling stability and raise safety concerns. Despite remarkable progress to partially solve these issues, the Li metal still plates at the electrode/electrolyte interface where the parasitic reactions and dendrite formation invariably occur.

Anti-proliferative activities of finasteride in benign prostate epithelial cells require stromal fibroblasts and c-Jun gene
This study aimed to identify the role of mouse fibroblast-mediated c-Jun and IGF-1 signaling in the therapeutic effect of finasteride on benign prostatic epithelial cells. BPH-1 cells, alone or with fibroblasts (c-Jun +/+ or c-Jun -/- ), were implanted subcutaneously in male nude mice who were then treated with finasteride. The degrees of cell proliferation, apoptosis, and sizes of the xenografts were determined.
