SEDGWICK COUNTY, Kan. (KWCH) - Property taxes in Kansas are one of the top concerns heading into the 2026 election. Candidates for Kansas governor are pitching their plans, including Senate president Ty Masterson. Nathan Stamps is just one Derby homeowner who says that his property taxes have gotten too high. “It’s not that easy, because people’s incomes don’t always go up each year,” Stamps said. Masterson has been vocal that property taxes are his number one issue, and he has a solution in mind.
