ESCAMBIA COUNTY, Fla. -- He began his career in the Escambia County public school system as a teacher. He made the transition to Director of Maintenance and Custodial Services. As Greg Gibbs traveled the campuses of 50-plus schools, a sight hit his soul that hammers, saws, paint brushes, and scaffolding couldn't fix. But, this Angel In Our Midst had a backpack and compassionate friends. Most people know Greg as the man who keeps Escambia County's schools running.
