I spent endless hours combing through our archive from 30 years ago and digitized our air checks and relevant reporting to create this series. My goal was to help people who did not live through it - as the area has grown so much over these three decades - understand how all consuming and terrifying it was, and why it became such a part of our community psyche. I poured a lot of heart into this project and it means the world to me that it won.
