Spatiotemporally-guided defunctionalization of nociceptive nerves with capsaicin enhances structural repair in a murine Achilles tendon rupture model
Abstract Chronic Achilles tendinopathy, a prevalent and debilitating condition, impairs daily function and quality of life. While healthy tendons lack internal nerves, pathological ingrowth of sensory nerve fibers into the tendon is now recognized as a key source of chronic pain. These sprouting nerves act as nociceptors and release pain-associated neuropeptides like Substance P (SP) and Calcitonin Gene-Related Peptide (CGRP), perpetuating pain and neurogenic inflammation.

How Precipitation Timing Asymmetry Restructures Vegetation Phenology in Water-Limited Ecosystems
1 Introduction Vegetation phenology refers to the seasonal timing of leaf emergence, maturation, and senescence and is widely recognized as one of the most visible indicators of biosphere responses to climate change. Beyond marking seasonal transitions, phenological shifts modulate carbon-water-energy exchanges across terrestrial ecosystems, creating critical feedbacks to regional and global climate (Piao et al., 2019; Richardson et al., 2013; X. Wang et al., 2019).
Optimizing phosphate fertilizer rate and sources for enhancing yield and grain zinc of maize under saline conditions
Abstract Crops grown on coastal saline-alkali soils in China often receive excessive phosphorus (P) fertilization to overcome low P availability. However, it often leads to reduced grain zinc (Zn) concentration–a critical micronutrient for human and animal health. The interactive effects of P application rates and fertilizer sources on maize (Zea mays L.) yield and grain Zn accumulation under saline stress remain unclear.

Molecular basis of plant DCL4 action that outcompetes DCL2 - Nature Plants
Abstract Small RNAs regulate eukaryotic development and immunity. In plants, multiple DICER-LIKE (DCL) proteins produce distinct small RNAs that play diverse functions. These DCL proteins act in a hierarchical manner, with DCL4 outcompeting DCL2 being particularly important for optimal gene expression and plant growth. However, the mechanism of this hierarchical action remains unclear.
