Complete Telomere-to-Telomere Assembly of the Y Chromosome in the Chinese Quartet
Abstract The complete assembly of the human Y chromosome remains a formidable task due to its highly repetitive, palindromic, and heterochromatic architecture. While complete telomere-to-telomere (T2T) assemblies have recently been generated for select individuals, high-quality, gapless Y chromosome references for East Asian lineages—specifically within well-characterized multi-omics reference cohorts—remain scarce.
Carbon-rich carbon nitride for singlet-oxygen-driven photocatalytic degradation of benzophenone-3 and coral vitality recovery
Abstract Coral reefs, vital marine ecosystems, are increasingly threatened by global warming and chemical pollutants such as benzophenone-3 (BP-3), a widely used UV filter. To address this challenge, we present a carbon-doped graphitic carbon nitride (g-C3N4) photocatalyst with efficient singlet oxygen (1O2) generation for BP-3 degradation and coral vitality restoration under simulated seawater conditions.
A multi-population genome-wide variant and imputation resource for rainbow trout derived from 540 high-coverage whole-genome sequences
Abstract Genotype imputation is a cost-effective strategy for achieving dense genome-wide genotyping, but its accuracy in rainbow trout (Oncorhynchus mykiss) has been hampered by the lack of a comprehensive, multi-population genome-wide variant and imputation resource.

Hyperspectral image (HSI) classification requires reliable pixel-relation modeling under spectral variability, mixed pixels, and heterogeneous boundaries. Existing graph-based HSI classifiers usually construct graph topology from spatial proximity, superpixel connectivity, or learned feature affinity. However, the spectral physical prior carried by contiguous bands has limited influence on topology estimation and message propagation.
Interplay of oxygen vacancies and lanthanide emitters enables reversible upconversion switching
Abstract Dynamic modulation of upconversion with spatiotemporal spectral features is essential for advanced optical multiplexing in anti-counterfeiting applications. However, achieving reversible dynamic control of upconversion emissions in a simple nanostructure of fixed composition under external stimulation remains challenging.
Admission complete blood count-derived inflammatory indices for risk stratification in hemorrhagic fever with renal syndrome: comparative performance of NLR, PLR, SII, LMR, and the neutrophil-to-red blood cell ratio
Abstract Background: Hemorrhagic fever with renal syndrome (HFRS) requires early risk stratification, yet the comparative value and reproducibility of complete blood count (CBC)-derived inflammatory indices remain unclear. We compared admission neutrophil-to-lymphocyte ratio (NLR), platelet-to-lymphocyte ratio (PLR), systemic immune-inflammation index (SII), lymphocyte-to-monocyte ratio (LMR), and neutrophil-to-red blood cell ratio (NRR) for identifying severe disease and 28-day mortality.

SpatialCOC: an integrative framework for spatial continuous mapping and cross-omics correction in spatial multi-omics data
Abstract Integrating spatial multi-omics data presents significant challenges, particularly in uncovering the spatial patterns of cells and deciphering the real regulatory mechanisms among various omics. These insights are critical for harnessing the full potential of each modality while minimizing the impact of biotechnological biases that will lead to unstable results.
Highly accurate ab initio gene annotation with ANNEVO
Abstract Accurate gene annotation is essential for deciphering the mapping from genomic sequences to their functional roles. However, current methods struggle to model complex gene transmission patterns, such as vertical inheritance and horizontal gene transfer. Here we introduce ANNEVO, a mixture of experts-based genomic language model that directly models distal sequence dependencies and joint evolutionary relationships from diverse genomes, enabling precise ab initio gene annotation.
Munc18 modulates syntaxin phase separation to promote exocytosis - Nature Neuroscience
Abstract The soluble N-ethylmaleimide-sensitive factor attachment protein receptor (SNARE) protein syntaxin mediates neuronal exocytosis and self-assembles into large clusters in the plasma membrane. The formation and function of these clusters, and whether they promote or inhibit synaptic-vesicle fusion, remain unclear.

Dyson sphere-like evaporators enhanced interfacial solar evaporation via self-generated internal convection - Nature Communications
Abstract Enhancing solar evaporation performance while minimizing material consumption is essential for advancing the practical application of interfacial solar evaporation technologies. Although introducing external airflow can significantly boost evaporation rates, it requires additional components and electricity input, compromising the simplicity, passivity and sustainability of interfacial solar evaporation.
The evolution of high-order genome architecture revealed from 1,000 species
Abstract Spatial genome organization plays a crucial regulatory role, but its evolution remains unknown. Leveraging Hi-C data from 1,025 species, we trace the evolutionary trajectories of 3D genome, through two higher-order architectures, global folding (spatial organization of karyotype) and checkerboard (chromatin compartments). Early life forms, including prokaryotes and unicellular eukaryotes, mostly display random configurations.
Unveiling the regulatory role of GRP7 in ABA signal-mediated mRNA translation efficiency regulation - Nature Communications
Abstract Abscisic acid (ABA) is a crucial phytohormone involved in plant growth and stress responses. While the transcriptional regulation triggered by ABA is well-documented, its effects on translational regulation have been less studied. Through Ribo-seq and RNA-seq analyses, we find that ABA treatment not only influences gene expression at the mRNA level but also significantly impacts mRNA translation efficiency (TE) in Arabidopsis thaliana.

MSIsensor-RNA: microsatellite instability detection for bulk and single-cell gene expression data
Abstract Microsatellite instability (MSI) is an indispensable biomarker in cancer immunotherapy. Currently, MSI scoring methods by high-throughput omics methods have gained popularity and demonstrated better performance than the gold standard method for MSI detection. However, the MSI detection method on expression data, especially single-cell expression data, is still lacking, limiting the scope of clinical application and prohibiting the investigation of MSI at a single-cell level.

Pindel-TD: a tandem duplication detector based on a pattern growth approach
Abstract Tandem duplication (TD) is a major type of structural variation (SV), and plays an important role in novel gene formation and human diseases. However, TDs are often missed or incorrectly classified as insertions by most of modern SV detection methods due to the lacking of specialized operation on TD related mutational signals. Herein, we developed a TD detection module of Pindel referred as Pindel-TD based on a TD specific pattern growth approach.
