IRF1-mediated thioredoxin (TXN) protects multiple myeloma cells from ferroptosis through remodeling of PUFA-containing phospholipids
Abstract Multiple myeloma (MM) is a hematologic malignancy characterized by uncontrolled plasma cell proliferation and frequent therapeutic relapse. Ferroptosis, an iron-dependent form of regulated cell death driven by lipid peroxidation, has emerged as a promising therapeutic vulnerability in cancer. However, the mechanisms governing ferroptosis resistance in MM remain incompletely understood.

Dual-Stimuli Reversible Photochromism and Persistent Luminescence in Eu 3+ -Doped Sr 2 YTaO 6 for Multimode Optical Encryption
1 Introduction The rapid expansion of global trade and digital information exchange has created an urgent demand for advanced anti-counterfeiting technologies to protect products, secure documents, and safeguard intellectual property [1-5]. Conventional security features, such as holograms, barcodes, and static fluorescent tags, are increasingly vulnerable to replication and generally provide only limited information complexity [6].
TNFAIP8 polarity proteins mediate T cell development by propagating lipid second messenger signaling in thymocytes
Abstract T lymphocytes are primarily generated in the thymus through a complex process of positive and negative selections. The molecular mechanisms underlying this process are not fully understood. Here, we report that TNFAIP8 (TNF-α-induced protein 8-like) family of polarity proteins mediates T cell development by propagating phosphoinositide signaling in the thymus.

Development of a novel radially-distributed spiral bilayer thermopile infrared sensor with enhanced responsivity
Abstract Current trend of pursuing higher resolution in uncooled cost-effective infrared imagers demands thermopile sensing units with higher responsivity. Conventional designs often have limitations such as non-uniform temperature distribution among individual thermocouple legs or complex fabrication process, which limit further responsivity improvement. Here, a novel thermopile featuring a radially-distributed spiral structure with bilayer P-poly/Al thermocouples is proposed.

Two exceptionally preserved biotas from North Dakota reveal cryptic Ordovician shelf ecologies
Significance The Ordovician is one of the most important periods in Earth history, witnessing the elaboration of modern-style ecosystems after the “Cambrian Explosion” of animals. However, exceptional fossils from this period are mostly confined to marginal environments, obscuring the most widespread and habitable ecosystems of their day. We describe Ordovician exceptional fossils from shallow-water, well-oxygenated habitats, representative of the widespread continental seas of the time.

Abstract To evaluate changes in dry eye-related parameters after posterior chamber phakic refractive lens (PC-PRL) implantation. This prospective study included 21 highly myopic patients (39 eyes) who underwent PC-PRL implantation at Lanzhou Huaxia Eye Hospital between January 2021 and June 2022, with a 3-month postoperative follow-up. In addition to routine preoperative examinations, dry eye assessments were conducted preoperatively and at 1 week, 1 month, and 3 months postoperatively.
