CXCL14+ fibroblasts promote development of IBD-associated fibrosis and cancer by interacting with SPP1+ macrophages via collagen IV secretion
Abstract The pathogenesis of inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) involves chronic inflammation of the gastrointestinal tract, which predisposes patients to an increased risk of fibrosis and cancer due to prolonged inflammatory stimulation. However, the specific mechanisms underlying secondary gastrointestinal carcinogenesis in individuals with IBD remain poorly elucidated, particularly due to a limited number of studies conducted at single-nuclei level.

Case Report: Late repeat pancreatic irreversible electroporation in the long-term multidisciplinary management of unresectable pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma
Abstract Unresectable locally advanced pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC) has a poor prognosis, particularly after distant metastasis. Irreversible electroporation (IRE) is a nonthermal ablative technique used for pancreatic tumors adjacent to major vessels, but evidence on late repeat pancreatic IRE remains limited. We report a 62-year-old man who presented with obstructive jaundice.

Abstract Rocky desertification is a major ecological problem in karst regions, driven by the combined effects of natural conditions and human activities. To investigate its spatiotemporal evolution and driving mechanisms, this study constructed a two-dimensional Rocky Desertification Index (RDI) based on the Normalized Difference Vegetation Index (NDVI) and Bare Land Index (BLI) for Liupanshui City, Guizhou Province, China, during 1987–2022.
A Triterpenoid-Enriched GLE70 Fraction From Ganoderma lingzhi Ameliorates Alcoholic Liver Disease via Multi-Target Regulation
1 Introduction Alcoholic liver disease (ALD), induced by chronic alcohol consumption, leads to progressive hepatic injury and imposes substantial health and socioeconomic burdens. Globally, 43% of the population consumes alcohol and more than 75 million individuals are diagnosed with alcohol-related disorders, contributing to a 260-fold increase in ALD-associated mortality risk (Devarbhavi et al. 2023).
Adherence-enhancing intervention and relapse in childhood acute lymphoblastic leukemia: results from the Children’s Oncology Group randomized trial ACCL1033
Introduction Durable remissions in children with acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) require an 18-to-24-month-long maintenance phase with daily self-administered oral mercaptopurine (6MP) [1,2,3,4]. In a previous multicenter study, we showed that 6MP adherence rates <95% were associated with a 2.7-fold higher relapse risk [4]. Over 40% of relapses in children entering maintenance in first remission were attributable to suboptimal 6MP adherence [4,5,6].

Association between the ZJU index and gallstone prevalence in a Chinese adult population: a cross-sectional study
Introduction The ZJU (Zhejiang University) index is a composite indicator designed to evaluate overall metabolic health. It is calculated based on body mass index (BMI), fasting plasma glucose (FPG), triglycerides (TG), and the ratio of serum alanine aminotransferase (ALT) to aspartate aminotransferase (AST). Initially proposed in 2015, the ZJU index was developed specifically for the identification of non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) in Chinese populations (1).

Bayesian learning-assisted catalyst discovery for efficient iridium utilization in electrochemical water splitting
Abstract Reducing noble metal dependence in oxygen evolution reaction (OER) catalysts is essential for achieving sustainable and scalable green hydrogen production. Bimetallic oxides, with their potential for high catalytic performance and reduced noble metal content, represent promising alternatives to traditional IrO2-based OER catalysts. However, optimizing these materials remains challenging due to the complex interplay of elemental selection, composition, and chemical ordering.
Dual‐function coordination polymers for fluorescence sensing and efficient adsorptive removal of Rhodamine B
To address the growing challenge of dye pollution, two Ni(II)-based coordination polymers, [Ni(HL)(phen)(H O)] (CP1) and [Ni (HL) (phen) ·2(H O)] (CP2), were synthesized using 4-[(1-carboxynaphthalen-2-yl)oxy]phthalic acid and 1,10-phenanthroline under different solvent systems. Single-crystal X-ray diffraction revealed that CP1 forms a 1-D chain structure, while CP2 adopts a 2-D layered framework. Both complexes exhibit good crystallinity and thermal stability.

Structural basis for sequence context-independent single-stranded DNA cytosine deamination by the bacterial toxin SsdA
Abstract DNA deaminase toxins are involved in interbacterial antagonism and the generation of genetic diversity in surviving bacterial populations. These enzymes have also been adopted as genome engineering tools. The single-stranded (ss)DNA deaminase SsdA represents the bacterial deaminase toxin family-2 (BaDTF2) and it deaminates ssDNA cytosines with little sequence context dependence, which contrasts with the AID/APOBEC family of sequence-selective ssDNA cytosine deaminases.

Diagenesis and Diagenetic Mineral Control on Reservoir Quality of Tight Sandstones in the Permian He8 Member, Southern Ningwu Basin
5.2.3. Dissolution Tight sandstone reservoirs generally lose a large number of primary pores due to compaction and cementation during burial evolution. However, the excellent porosity values in deeply buried sandstone indicate that the porosity loss during compaction and cementation processes may be compensated for by subsequent porosity increases caused by dissolution [10,12].
