KA101 outperforms other clinical adjuvants in inducing balanced Th1/Th2 immunity and robust B cell responses to varicella-zoster virus glycoprotein E
Abstract Reactivation of latent varicella-zoster virus (VZV) causes herpes zoster, which can further progress to persistent postherpetic neuralgia in a subset of patients. Rational adjuvant selection is critical for the development of recombinant VZV glycoprotein E (gE) subunit vaccines. In this study, we systematically evaluated the immunomodulatory properties of six adjuvants formulated with recombinant VZV gE in a mouse model.

Interplay of Skin Aging: Mitochondrial Stress and Ultraviolet Exposure
1 Introduction Ultraviolet radiation (UVR) stands as a cardinal risk factor for both melanoma and non-melanoma skin cancers and is the predominant cause of photoaging. It serves as a complete carcinogen and an immune suppressant [1]. Among the three subcategories of UVR, only UVB (290–320 nm) and UVA (320–400 nm) reach the Earth's surface in substantial quantities and are responsible for the majority of UVR-related health effects [2, 3].
Curvature sensor enabled by fiber ring microwave photonic filter
We propose a high-resolution curvature sensor utilizing seven-core fiber Bragg gratings (7-Core FBGs) interrogated by a fiber ring microwave photonic filter (FR-MPF). By mapping optical wavelength shifts to significant microwave frequency shifts, the system breaks the resolution limit of traditional spectral analysis, achieving a theoretical resolution of 0.26 × 10−2 m−1.

Obtaining shear wave input for 1D site response analysis: a frequency adjustment method based on strong motion records - part II: application to sites and the 2011 Tohoku earthquake - Extrica
1. Introduction As established in a companion paper (Part I), a frequency-domain adjustment method was proposed to convert strong motion records into incident wavefields suitable for one-dimensional wave propagation analysis. This method utilizes wave theory [1] and recursive calculations of wave transmission and reflection across soil layers [2] to derive site-specific frequency adjustment coefficients ζ.
Obtaining shear wave input for 1d site response analysis: a frequency adjustment method based on strong motion records - part i: formulation and theoretical validation - Extrica
1. Introduction For one-dimensional seismic response analysis, the main approaches include the Vibration Input Method (VIM) based on structural dynamics theory [1], the Wave Input Method (WIM) grounded in wave propagation theory [2], and the Finite Element Method (FEM) that uses numerical discretization to solve wave motion equations [3]. Among these, the wave input method (WIM) is particularly effective for analyzing multi-layered soil media and complex seismic wave fields [4].
Static push out test of rectangular steel tube concrete components
1. Introduction As an efficient composite structure system [1], the core advantage of rectangular concrete filled steel tube is to achieve the dual goals of bearing capacity improvement and durability guarantee through the cooperative work of steel tube and concrete [2]. However, as a key factor affecting the overall performance of composite structures, the interface bonding performance directly determines the load transfer efficiency and structural stability [3].

Ferroaxial density wave from intertwined charge and orbital order in rare-earth tritellurides - Nature Physics
Abstract The discovery of the axial amplitude mode—commonly referred to as the Higgs mode—in charge density wave systems, such as rare-earth tritellurides, indicates the presence of a hidden order. A theoretical study proposed that this axial Higgs mode arises from a hidden orbital texture of the charge density wave, which produces a ferroaxial charge order. However, experimental evidence for the specific hidden order has been lacking.

Hidden states and dynamics of fractional fillings in twisted MoTe2 bilayers - Nature
Abstract The fractional quantum anomalous Hall (FQAH) effect was recently discovered in twisted MoTe2 bilayers (tMoTe2)1–4. Experiments to date have revealed Chern insulators from hole doping at ν = -1, -2/3, -3/5, and -4/7 (per moiré unit cell) 1–6. In parallel, theories predict that, between v = -1 and -3, there exist exotic quantum phases 7–15, such as the coveted fractional topological insulators (FTI), fractional quantum spin Hall (FQSH) states, and non-abelian fractional states.
