Observation of dark magnons in a van der Waals antiferromagnet/ferromagnet interface
Abstract Magnons, the quanta of spin waves, offer a promising platform for low-power information processing owing to their charge-free propagation. Dark magnon modes, which are intrinsically decoupled from electromagnetic fields, exhibit high robustness against environmental perturbations and enable stealth-like propagation, making them highly attractive for magnonic applications. However, the excitation and detection of dark magnons in antiferromagnets remain highly challenging.

Integrated analysis identifies myostatin as a potential biomarker and functional regulator in glioma
|
Abstract Myostatin (MSTN), a member of the TGF-β superfamily, is recognized for its role in regulating muscle growth and cancer cachexia, but its involvement in glioma remains unclear. We examined MSTN expression and its clinical significance in glioma using public datasets and single-cell sequencing data. Immunohistochemistry and western blot further supported elevated MSTN protein levels in GBM tissues and cell lines.

Policy optimization (PO) for Large Language Models faces a stability--exploration trade-off, currently mediated by an action-side Policy-KL regularizer. This puts practitioners in a double bind: keeping Policy-KL constrains response behavior and consumes the action-side exploration budget, while dropping it leaves the optimization without an explicit drift control.

Trafficking Deficiency of TMEM175 Variants in Parkinson's Disease Pathogenesis and the Prospects of Precision Medicine
1 Introduction Protein function depends heavily on the proper folding, assembly, trafficking, stability, and functionality in specific cellular compartments [1]. For membrane proteins in particular, such as ion channels and transporters, stringent quality control in the endoplasmic reticulum (ER) is required to ensure correct folding and assembly before they can enter the secretory pathway and ultimately reach their functional destinations, including the plasma membrane and lysosomes [2, 3].

Multiparticle entanglement of nuclear spins in silicon
Abstract Silicon spin qubits offer high-fidelity control and semiconductor manufacturing compatibility. However, the systematic generation and characterization of multiparticle entanglement, a core resource for quantum information science, remain elusive in such systems. Here, we demonstrate the complete preparation of all nine canonical families of four-qubit entanglement between donor spins in silicon, by designing hardware-efficient quantum circuits that use native multi-qubit operations.

Generating vectorial optical fields via surface-wave-excited complex-amplitude metasurfaces
Abstract On-chip photonic systems capable of efficiently generating pre-designed vectorial optical fields (VOFs) are highly desired in integrated photonics, but traditional devices are bulky and lack flexible control capabilities. Although ultra-compact metasurfaces (MSs) have exhibited powerful light-manipulation capabilities, they typically work under propagating-wave excitations and/or rely on only phase modulations to control light beams.
Giant spin-orbit magnetic state readout enhanced by a magnetic tunnel junction
Abstract Magnetoelectric spin-orbit (MESO) logic, composed of a voltage-controlled magnetoelectric writing module and a spin-orbit readout module, is highly expected to substitute the silicon-based transistors and enable energy-efficient and scalable computing. Nevertheless, the output voltage of readout module based on spin-to-charge conversion is far less than the minimum magnetoelectric writing voltage, which greatly restricts the cascading function of MESO logic.
Host mature tRNAome as a decoding switch regulates antiviral and proviral responses
Abstract Current virus-host studies primarily concentrate on the battle race at the levels of mRNA transcription and protein translation. These processes, on both the host and virus sides, rely on the mature tRNAome to decode, yet they remain largely unexplored. In this study, we report a previously unrecognized dichotomy in the host tRNAome concerning antiviral and proviral responses.

Corrections to “Dynamics of Vapor Intrusion under Varying Source Strength” Click to copy article link Article link copied!
One conclusion of the published work indicates that, for a diminishing source strength, increasing the building-to-source volume ratio (ηV) shortens the peak arrival time of vapor intrusion (see the Abstract and Figure 2). However, the following three statements inadvertently convey the opposite meaning: 1. In Section 3.2, the sentence “Notably, reducing ηV .... Instead, it significantly shortens the peak arrival time.” is incorrect. Here, “shortens” should be replaced with “extends”. 2.
Picosecond all-electrical perpendicular magnetization switching
Abstract Current-induced spin-orbit torque (SOT) is an effective approach to manipulate magnetic states in spintronic devices. Recent studies show picosecond electrical pulses can induce coherent magnetization switching, reducing switching time from nanosecond scale to picosecond scale. However, it remains unclear whether such ultrafast switching can be achieved in a perpendicular magnetic anisotropy system without an external magnetic field.

Universal logical operations in a silicon quantum processor
|
Abstract Quantum errors induced by environmental noise are unavoidable and preclude the direct implementation of practical quantum computation. Fault-tolerant quantum computation offers one of the viable paths, necessitating the encoding and processing of information within logical qubits to curb such errors. Although substantial progress has been achieved recently in building silicon quantum computers, logical operations still haven’t been realized in silicon.

Laser-dressed ionic states in high-harmonic generation in helium
We report the experimental observation of an ionic resonance at 40.8 eV and two adjacent satellite sidebands in high-harmonic generation in neutral helium gas. The amplitude and asymmetry of the central line vary with different driving pulse intensities, which arises from the interference between the laser-dressed resonant emission from the $2p$ state of He${}^{+}$ ions and the nonresonant harmonic generation.
