Trivial-nontrivial programmable topological metasurfaces for sensing and communication
Abstract Trivial-nontrivial topological switching provides a distinctive physical pathway for multifunctional electromagnetic systems, yet has never been exploited for integrated sensing and communication (ISAC). Existing ISAC architectures rely almost exclusively on trivial spatial-wave beamforming, constraining near-field sensing robustness and limiting hardware scalability in 6 G scenarios.

Immune Efficacy and Intestinal Microbiota of Rainbow Trout (Oncorhynchus mykiss) After Inactivated IHNV Vaccination via Distinct Injection Regimens
This study optimised the immunisation protocol for rainbow trout fingerlings against infectious haematopoietic necrosis virus (IHNV). Fish were administered an experimental vaccine via intraperitoneal injection, consisting of formalin-inactivated IHNV formulated with Montanide ISA 763A VG. A 2 × 2 factorial design was employed to compare two injection volumes (50 μL or 150 μL) and two immunisation regimens (single versus double injection).
Co-opetition strategies in live streaming commerce: a game theory perspective
Abstract This paper examines the strategic interactions between a start-up firm (he) and an established live streaming firm (she) in live streaming commerce. Using a game model, the paper explores three scenarios: (1) competition, (2) co-opetition with a live streaming selling service, and (3) co-opetition with a live streaming training service. The findings indicate that the spillover effect can enhance profits for both firms, particularly the one with greater bargaining power.

Deciphering MMRN1 diagnostic and therapeutic implications in the substantia nigra of Parkinson’s disease patients via integrative bioinformatic analysis and multi-omics studies
Abstract Background: Parkinson’s disease (PD) is a neurodegenerative disorder characterized by the loss of dopaminergic neurons in the substantia nigra (SN), primarily due to α-synuclein aggregation, posing a major health threat to the elderly population. Current treatment options remain limited, necessitating the discovery of novel diagnostic and therapeutic targets. Objective: This study aimed to identify a novel diagnostic and druggable target in the SN of PD patients.
Government coordination mechanism in marine governance: a study on China’s 2023 marine environmental protection law
1 Introduction The core contradiction inherent in marine environmental governance arises from the fundamental conflict between the ocean’s natural characteristics—such as its fluidity and integrity—and the administrative management system, which is characterized by a dispersion of departmental functions and administrative divisions.
Real-time observation of spatial-spectral oscillatory dynamics in spatiotemporal soliton molecules
We observe the spatial–spectral oscillations dynamics of spatiotemporal soliton molecules (STSMs) in real time, based on the acquisition of two distinct fixed spatial points on the output speckle grains (SGs) of a spatiotemporal mode-locked (STML) fiber laser. The spatial energies and the mapped spectral center of mass by dispersive Fourier transform of STSMs at two SGs show complementary dual-periodic oscillations.
Editorial: Cell death in kidney diseases: novel biomarkers, mechanisms, and therapeutic strategies
Cell death is a significant factor in the pathogenesis of kidney diseases. Acute kidney injury can be triggered by the acute loss of renal epithelial cells. In chronic kidney disease, the loss of renal epithelial cells leads to glomerulosclerosis and tubular atrophy. The cell death mechanism, which is supposed to clear abnormal cells, can instead accelerate renal cell injury when imbalanced.

Chromosome-level genome assembly for clubrush (Scirpus × mariqueter) endemic to China - Scientific Data
Abstract Scirpus × mariqueter (Tang & F.T.Wang) Tatanov, which is endemic to eastern estuaries in China, is a tidal zone-engineering species with great promise for managing greenhouse gases and enhancing ecosystem resilience against invasive species. Although S. mariqueter is widely recognized as a hybrid species derived from Bolboschoenus planiculmis (F. Schmidt) T.V. Egorova and Schoenoplectus triqueter (L.) Palla, its speciation remains highly controversial.

Highly Efficient and Selective Photocatalytic CO2 Reduction to Ethanol by Cu4 Clusters with Adjacent Cu Single Atoms Anchored on Carbon Nitride
Introduction Reducing CO2 to various fuels by solar energy is a promising way to solve environmental problems and energy crisis caused by excessive CO2 emission from burning of fossil fuels.[1] C1 products, such as CO and HCOOH, have been commonly produced from catalytic CO2 reduction, whereas C2+ products with higher economic value and energy density are less reported.[2, 3] Ethanol is a versatile fuel that can be easily transported, and it has been widely used in food chemistry, chemical...
Information Sharing with Uncertain Consumer Preferences for Store Brands
1. Introduction The rapid expansion of the online retail sector has positioned store brands as a pivotal element in redefining market competition dynamics [1,2,3]. This phenomenon is largely driven by the retailer’s ability to leverage consumer preference information, which enables them to design products that precisely meet consumer needs. According to Forbes, sales of store brands in the US reached nearly USD 200 billion in 2022, accounting for 19.6% of all groceries sold [4].

Red turn-on fluorescent probe reveals elevated H2O2 in cell anesthesia
Red turn-on fluorescent probe reveals elevated H2O2 in cell anesthesia Cognitive dysfunction has become an important central nervous system (CNS)-related adverse reaction of intravenous anesthetics. Therefore, to further understand the role of H2O2, the potential markers of cognitive dysfunction, we constructed a fluorescent probe (LJ-1), which could specifically enable real-time detection of H2O2 in cells during anesthesia. Delayed epiphyseal closure in an adult with panhypopituitarism detected by 99mTc‐MDP bone SPECT/CT
Yu Ning and Xiaoji Liu have contributed equally to this work. Key Clinical Message We reported a 23-year-old male patient with panhypopituitarism who underwent two resections for craniopharyngioma and received postoperative hormone replacement therapy. The 99mTc-MDP bone scan revealed focal high uptake of radioactive nuclide in multiple large joints. The SPECT/CT demonstrated the focal high uptake in their metaphysis. Thus, delayed epiphyseal closure was considered.

Underwater Color-Cast Image Enhancement by Noise Suppression and Block Effect Elimination
Abstract : Efficient underwater visual environment perception is the key to realizing the autonomous operation of underwater robots. Because of the complex and diverse underwater environment, the underwater images not only have different degrees of color cast but also produce a lot of noise. Due to the existence of noise in the underwater image and the blocking effect in the process of enhancing the image, the enhanced underwater image is still rough.
From Diabetic Nephropathy to End-Stage Renal Disease: The Effect of Chemokines on the Immune System
Background. Diabetic nephropathy (DN) is a major cause of end-stage renal disease (ESRD), and there is growing evidence to support the role of immunity in the progression of DN to ESRD. Chemokines and chemokine receptors (CCRs) can recruit immune cells to sites of inflammation or injury. Currently, no studies have reported the effect of CCRs on the immune environment during the progression of DN to ESRD. Methods.
