Meningeal Lymphatic LTBR Deficiency Links Spinal Cord Injury to Secondary Brain Pathology
1 Introduction Brain structural and functional impairments secondary to spinal cord injury (SCI) represent a significant yet frequently overlooked complication. These remote brain pathologies not only hinder the recovery of motor and sensory functions [1], but also contribute to cognitive and affective deficits [2, 3]. Evidence indicates that over 60% of SCI patients develop cognitive impairment, including deficits in attention, memory, and executive function [4].

Nrf2/HO-1 signaling in retinal neurodegenerative diseases: redox homeostasis, cytoprotection, and therapeutic perspectives
Abstract Retinal neurodegenerative diseases (RNDs) represent a major group of disorders leading to irreversible visual impairment. Persistent oxidative stress, mitochondrial dysfunction, inflammatory responses, lipid peroxidation, and disruption of neurovascular unit homeostasis are closely implicated in retinal neuronal and vascular injury.

Responses of Functional Traits in Spring Maize Leaves to Water Stress and Their Threshold Effects
1 Introduction Plant functional traits are adaptive characteristics shaped by long-term interactions between plants and their environment, objectively reflecting plant strategies and capacity to respond to changing external conditions (Reich et al. 2003). Soil moisture is one of the primary environmental factors limiting crop growth, development and yield formation (Farooq et al. 2009).
Caspases and programmed cell death in sepsis: mechanisms, pathophysiology, and therapeutic targets
Abstract Sepsis represents a critical medical condition characterized by organ impairment resulting from an uncontrolled systemic reaction to pathogenic infection, posing substantial difficulties in intensive care management. As a key pathological mechanism, programmed cell death (PCD) critically contributes to sepsis development, and caspases act as the central molecular hub governing multiple PCD modalities, including apoptosis, necroptosis, pyroptosis, and PANoptosis.
Inflammatory activity stratification improves liver stiffness diagnosis of fibrosis in autoimmune hepatitis
Abstract Objective: To investigate the correction value of inflammatory activity stratification on the diagnostic performance of liver stiffness measurement (LSM) for hepatic fibrosis in patients with autoimmune hepatitis (AIH), and to provide evidence for accurate fibrosis assessment in AIH patients. Methods: Clinical data of AIH patients who underwent liver biopsy at our hospital from January 2017 to January 2026 were retrospectively analyzed.
Langmuir-Hinshelwood pathway enables 1000-h stable nitrate-to-ammonia electroreduction at 1 A cm −2
Abstract Achieving stable and selective electrocatalytic nitrate reduction (NO3RR) at high current densities demands a fundamental understanding of the hydrogenation mechanism. We demonstrate that alloying cobalt with ruthenium (RuCo) switches the dominant hydrogenation pathway from the Eley-Rideal (E-R) mechanism, involving solvated protons, to the Langmuir-Hinshelwood (L-H) mechanism, utilizing adsorbed protons.
Tumor Anti-Angiogenesis Therapy and Its Influence on Immune Cell Function in the Tumor Microenvironment
1 Introduction Blood vessels are crucial to embryonic development, bodily growth, and wound healing. Neovascularization is a critical process for the growth and metastasis of tumors, facilitating the transport of nutrients and the removal of metabolic waste from tumor cells (Figure 1). Studies have shown that when the volume of a solid tumor exceeds 2 mm3, the center of the tumor cannot acquire sufficient oxygen and nutrients through diffusion alone.
Micro-Nonuniformity and Single-Molecule Mixture Science: An Introduction
You are already at the latest version Micro-nonuniformity, as a fundamental natural property, is widespread across a range of microscopic systems, such as polymer systems, biomacromolecular systems, and nanosystems; however, the construction of micro-nonuniform molecular systems has not yet been realized at the level of organic molecules with well-defined structural compositions.

MiR-424-5p acts as an oncogene in Hep3B cells by activating the PI3K/AKT signaling pathway
1 Introduction HCC remains a major global health challenge, ranking as a leading cause of cancer-related death worldwide (1, 2). Its high mortality is attributed to frequent late-stage diagnosis, limited curative options for advanced disease, and high rates of recurrence and metastasis. A critical aspect of HCC heterogeneity is its diverse etiology, with chronic hepatitis B virus (HBV) infection being one of the most prominent risk factors globally.

A Novel Secondary‐Side Clamping Approach for Oscillation Suppression in Phase‐Shifted Full‐Bridge DC‐DC Converters
Phase-shifted full-bridge (PSFB) converters have become a mainstream isolated DC/DC topology due to their simple control, reliable structure, low switching stress, and excellent dynamic characteristics. However, in practical applications, PSFB converters face the challenge of parasitic oscillations. This paper analyzes the mechanism of rectifier diode oscillations in detail and proposes an effective suppression method.
Dual-mode narrowband organic photodetectors for self-aligned imaging in NIR-I and NIR-II - Nature Communications
Abstract The ability to detect and image in the near-infrared (NIR) regions, specifically NIR-I (700–900 nm) and NIR-II (1000–1700 nm), is crucial for medical diagnostics and bioimaging due to their exceptional tissue penetration and absorption characteristics. Organic photodetectors (OPDs) present a promising solution for self-aligned imaging in these regions, due to their tunable optoelectronic properties and flexible fabrication processes.
Analysis of the influence of iron tailings sand on the properties of concrete mixtures and cyclic compressive behavior - Scientific Reports
Abstract This study investigates the effects of varying iron tailings sand (ITS) content on the workability, mechanical properties, and cyclic compressive behavior of concrete. The results show that increasing ITS content reduces slump and increases water absorption and pressure bleeding rate, with workability dropping below standard thresholds when ITS exceeds 40%.
Enhancing the potency of CAR-T cells against solid tumors through transcription factor engineering
