COLLEGE STATION, Texas (KBTX) - Calm before the storm, Wolf Pen Creek Park is quiet now, but come Saturday, the park will be packed for America’s 250th Anniversary. “We are expecting quite a large crowd, with us being the only fireworks show in College Station on the 4th of July. We are expecting well over 7,000 people here on the amphitheater to watch Josh Abbott play with the fireworks show afterward,” said Jeep Wentsch, the Supervisor for Special Events for College Station Parks and Recreation.

Bryan/College Station Chamber of Commerce hosts 18th annual Community Softball Classic

BRYAN, Texas (KBTX) - First responders gathered for a friendly softball match, with a benefit that hits close to home. It was the 18th annual Community Softball Classic, held at Travis Field on Wednesday in Bryan. Local fire fighters suited up to take on police officers from the area. Proceeds from the event benefited the 100 Club, a non-profit aimed at helping families of first responders who were killed or injured in the line of duty.
