Share The Wolverines beat the Spartans 24-17 after the Michigan defense stopped a potential game-tying drive. In the first quarter, Michigan State jumped out to a 7-0 lead after a Nate Carter run up the middle found the goal line. Michigan gained momentum with a nice drive finished with a Davis Warren throw to Colston Loveland in the endzone. A bad snap would keep the Wolverines from tying the game with an extra point.

Mason advances to State Semifinal after 3-1 win over Ortonville Brandon

Share LANSING, Mich. (WILX) - Mason Bulldogs beat Ortonville Brandon 3-1 to earn their spot in the State Semifinal. The Bulldogs started the game strong getting the first two goals of the game. It was Ortonville’s Tristan Groom who found the back of the net making it 2-1. Mason added an insurance goal shortly after with a kick from Brandon Nay who put it right under the crossbar. The Bulldogs will now play against Warren De La Salle on Oct, 30.
