What was your first job as a journalist?
I was an intern at a local pop radio station in Philadelphia.
How is social media changing news?
Social media is providing easy access to viewers, but also has to work on holding the attention of the reader.
What tools and software do you use to do your job?
Edius (editing) and ENPS
What's your favorite social network?
Instagram, I love photos and easily accessing businesses, people, etc.

My role models, Hoda Kotb and Jenna Bush Hager
Why did you become a journalist?
All I have ever wanted to do is meet people and tell their stories. I use fun and upbeat storytelling to show people making an impact.
What story are you most proud of writing or working on?
The Barkley Marathons story, we featured a local runner who was at the history making race that "eats it's young".
What advice can you offer to aspiring journalists?
The worst thing someone can say to you is no, don't let that stop you from getting your story
When's the best time to pitch you?
10AM!
When you're not at a computer, where are you most likely to be?
Training for a half marathon, baking a sweet treat, or explaining reality TV drama to anyone who will listen
What's the most common misperception about your beat?
That I cannot do "serious news".
