Radcliff teen boxer makes history with North American Title

RADCLIFF, Ky. (WAVE) - At just 19 years old, Pryce Sparrow is already making history. The Radcliff native knocked out previously unbeaten champion Andrés Lamb to capture the ABO North American Belt, becoming the youngest boxer ever to win the title. “The whole camp we was preparing for one shot to sit him down,” Sparrow said after the victory.

Silver Creek sophomore tennis duo makes history, advances to state finals

(WAVE) - For most high school athletes, reaching the state tournament is a dream. For Silver Creek sophomores Meredith Conklin and Shauna Lankford, it’s now a reality. The Dragons’ doubles duo captured a regional championship to become the first doubles team in program history to advance to the IHSAA Girls Tennis State Finals. The historic run sends the pair to Indianapolis this weekend with a chance to continue an already remarkable season. “There’s some pressure on us,” Lankford said.
