JENNINGS COUNTY, Ind. (WAVE) - After a six-month investigation, a grand jury in Jennings County, Indiana, has returned an indictment against the county sheriff. William K. “Kenny” Freeman, Jr., 60, of North Vernon, Indiana, is charged with two counts of misdemeanor theft, along with single felony counts of official misconduct, obstruction of justice and perjury. The indictment was returned after an investigation that began in November 2025 in connection with stolen campaign signs.
