LAUREL, Miss. (WDAM) - Administrators and volunteers at the Laurel Veterans Memorial Museum hosted a 4th of July birthday party for America Saturday. The America 250 celebration featured birthday cake, hamburgers, hot dogs, ice cream and activities like a dunking booth. “It’s the 250th anniversary, and we figured we needed to celebrate that and let the public enjoy it and come to see it,” said Larry Callahan, president and CEO of the Board of Directors of the Veterans Memorial Museum.
