Position Effect of Nitro Ring N-Oxide Oxygen Proximity on the Initial Thermal Decomposition Pathways of Furoxan-Based Energetic Materials
1 Introduction Energetic materials [1, 2] constitute the physical basis for aerospace and defense technologies in advanced weaponry, holding a pivotal position in aerospace and defense engineering. The growing demand for higher energy densities has driven the development of energetic materials with enhanced energy output [3].

Matryoshka Representation Learning (MRL) is designed to support flexible representation sizes by jointly optimizing nested prefixes. While effective, this design lacks an explicit constraint to ensure that the leading portion provides a suitable compact encoding. To address this, we propose SpecMRL, which reorganizes the feature space to enable more effective prefix readout.
Freeze-thaw model for compressive strength of flowable solidified soil based on machine learning
Abstract Freeze-thaw cycling is a critical factor triggering durability degradation of flowable solidified soil in cold-region engineering, and its damage evolution process is affected by multi-factor coupling with obvious nonlinear characteristics.
Experimental investigation of ground fissure reactivation and differential deformation under layered groundwater pumping–recharge conditions
Abstract Groundwater-level fluctuations can induce differential deformation at ground-fissure sites, yet systematic experimental investigations of hydraulic and layered deformation responses across fissures during pumping-recharge remain limited. This study focuses on the F4 ground-fissure area in Yuhuazhai, Xi’an, and employs a large-scale physical model to investigate hydro-mechanical responses under layered groundwater pumping-recharge conditions.

Grain boundary segregation of ceramic aerogels for reliable thermal insulation at extreme conditions
Abstract Thermal insulation under extreme conditions requires materials to have high thermal stability and insulating properties to guarantee the critical system functionality and safety in aerospace, military, and high-temperature industries. Ceramic aerogels are the most attractive candidate to date, but due to the grain growth effect at high temperatures, they still suffer from insufficient structural stability and degraded thermal insulation that can lead to catastrophic failures.
The oral microbiome in relation to systemic maternal conditions and pregnancy complications: a systematic review and meta-analysis
Abstract Background Alterations in the oral microbiome have been associated with systemic diseases, but evidence regarding maternal conditions and pregnancy complications remains limited. This systematic review evaluated these associations. Methods PubMed, Web of Science, and Embase were searched for studies using high-throughput sequencing to profile the oral microbiome in pregnant women with systemic diseases or adverse pregnancy outcomes.
Topological Fermi arc interference on low-symmetry Weyl surfaces
Abstract Topological materials are defined by the correspondence between bulk topology and boundary states, yet this correspondence becomes enigmatic on low-symmetry surfaces where bulk and surface periodicities may not coincide within a conventional first bulk Brillouin zone projection. Here we study the (103) surface of the Weyl semimetal NdAlSi and identify Fermi arc interference in the boundary spectrum.

Imaging of nanoscale polar textures in quantum paraelectric SrTiO 3
Abstract When cooling towards a ferroelectric phase transition, collective atomic motions (phonons) slow down (soften) until a static atomic displacement pattern forms, giving rise to spontaneous polarization throughout the material1. However, in quantum paraelectrics such as strontium titanate (SrTiO3), long-range ferroelectric order does not develop at low temperatures due to persistent quantum fluctuations of ionic positions2,3. In SrTiO3, quantum paraelectricity emerges below Tq ≈ 40 K refs.
The co-evolution of peer reward mechanisms and cooperation
Abstract Endogenous peer reward mechanisms have been shown to be effective in promoting contributions in public goods games (Yang et al. 2018). However, prior research has not shown whether such a mechanism itself is capable of being fully self-determined by decision-makers voluntarily.

Fabrication of atomically flat cleavage planes with ultrafast laser scribing
Abstract The preparation of extensive, atomically flat surfaces remains a central challenge in modern quantum materials research, as many crystals lack natural cleavage planes suitable for advanced surface-sensitive investigations. Here, we demonstrate that laser scribing guided by an ultrafast laser can be applied to facilitate easy cleavage along a desired crystallographic plane under ultra-high vacuum.

Enhanced Mechanical Properties Via Boron-Induced Multi-Mechanism Strengthening in (NbTaTi 1.5 V) 100-x B x Refractory High Entropy Alloys
1 Introduction High-entropy alloys (HEAs) have attracted considerable attention due to their unique composition and microstructure [1-3]. HEAs typically consist of four or more principal elements in equiatomic or near-equiatomic proportions. Therefore, HEAs are also known as multi-principal element alloys [4, 5]. Compared with conventional alloys, HEAs offer greater compositional flexibility and design freedom [6, 7].
Intercellular chemerin-cmklr1 couples epicardial mechanosensing to fibroblasts in pressure overload
Abstract Mechanical sensation has become a recent focus and key pathological driver of cardiac fibrosis. However, the crosstalk between major mechanosensitive cell and fibroblasts remains to be elucidated. In this study, single-cell temporal atlas of mechanosensitive ion channels is depicted in transverse aortic constriction male mouse heart. Piezo1 is the most abundant mechanosensitive ion channel and exhibits the highest expression in epicardial cells.
New insights into tumor size in colorectal cancer: smaller size, higher risk?
Abstract Background: In colorectal cancer, the AJCC T category is defined by the depth of bowel wall invasion rather than by the absolute size of the primary tumor. The clinical value of tumor size in assessing tumor aggressiveness, metastatic risk, and prognosis remains insufficiently investigated. Aim: To evaluate the clinical value of tumor size in assessing potential metastatic risk and prognostic stratification in colorectal cancer.
Reinforcement learning in linear embedding space unlocks generalizable control across soft robot configurations
Abstract Soft-bodied organisms exhibit prominent morphological adaptability, dynamically reconfiguring shape and stiffness to achieve versatile behaviors. Inspired by these systems, soft robots with diverse morphologies have emerged, yet a unified control framework that rapidly adapts across configurations remains elusive. Here, we introduce a generalizable control system that enables rapid cross-configuration adaptation via reinforcement learning in a shared linear Koopman embedding space.

Abstract Objectives: As a reproductive-metabolic disorder, lifestyle interventions play a crucial role in managing Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS) patients. However, maintaining physical activity in PCOS patients is often challenging. Daily steps are now widely used to provide relatively simple physical activity goals for the general public. This study examines the impact of daily steps on patients with PCOS, aiming to develop simple and effective intervention strategies for them.

Deciphering the role of SIRT6 in suppressing the AMPK-mTOR-TFEB axis: regulation of autophagy activation in HCC
|
Abstract Sirtuin 6 (SIRT6), belong to the NAD-dependent class III protein deacetylase family, is implicated in cancer development through a multifaceted role. While it has been identified with both tumor-suppressive and tumor-promoting roles in Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC), there remains considerable debate regarding its exact function. The specific molecular mechanisms driving its tumor-suppressive effects in HCC remains poorly understood.

Potent and selective LSD1 inhibitor DC551040 reveals a promising combination therapy for AML with insight into epigenetic dysregulation
Abstract Epigenetic dysregulation is a fundamental cancer hallmark, and lysine demethylase 1 (LSD1) is a central target for cancer intervention. Developing novel LSD1 inhibitors with high selectivity, favorable bioavailability, and safety for acute myeloid leukemia (AML) remains challenging. We developed DC551040, a highly potent, selective irreversible LSD1 inhibitor with good tolerability in Phase I AML clinical trial (CTR20222026).
