LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - A community activist’s plea for help after more than 80 books were stolen from his late daughter’s library project was answered quickly by the Lexington community. Devine Carama, director of One Lexington, the city’s initiative to fight youth gun violence, started the Luna Library in honor of his late daughter Kamaria Spaulding. She died in a car crash six years ago. Carama said she was passionate about literacy, so creating the library was a way to honor her.
