Adma and Ackr3a regulate cardiac lymphatic vessel formation and function during heart development and regeneration
Abstract Cardiac lymphatics regulate fluid homeostasis and immune cell clearance. The mechanisms underlying cardiac lymphatic vessel formation remain unclear. We perform spatial transcriptomics on the zebrafish heart at the single-cell level and investigate gene expression patterns in cardiac lymphatic endothelial cells (LECs). adrenomedullin a (adma) is mainly expressed in the epicardium adjacent to cardiac lymphatics.
“Collision of Eastern and Western Cultures”: A Qualitative Study on Changing Perceptions of End-of-Life Care Among Older Chinese Immigrants
1 Introduction Effective communication among patients with serious illness, family caregivers, and health care providers regarding end-of-life (EOL) care is often lacking, resulting in unwanted intensive interventions, increased medical costs, feelings of regret among caregivers, and poor quality of life at EOL [1-3].
Generating protein hydrogels with customizable stress relaxation behavior via deep learning-driven entanglement design
Abstract Protein hydrogels are promising artificial extracellular matrices (ECMs) for 3D stem cell and organoid culture due to their favorable stress relaxation behavior (a decrease in stress in response to strain). Inter-chain entangled motifs, in which different protein chains are interlaced, represent a powerful strategy to synthesize such hydrogels.
Targeting C/EBPβ/ Calbindin 1 pathway bolsters the neural resilience to tau pathology and improves tau-impaired episodic memory
Abstract Intracellular accumulation of tau protein is a defining feature of Alzheimer’s disease (AD) and is closely associated with episodic memory loss. In our previous report, we highlighted the high susceptibility of ventral hippocampal Calbindin1- neurons in the dorsal part of ventral hippocampal CA1 (dvCA1Calb1- neurons) to tau pathology in AD. However, it remains unclear whether and how dvCA1Calb1+ neurons are also vulnerable during the chronic and progressive process of AD.
A Small-Molecule DEPTAC Rescues Cognitive Deficits by Targeted Dephosphorylation of Pathological Tau
1 Introduction The intraneuronal accumulation of neurofibrillary tangles (NFTs), composed primarily of hyperphosphorylated Tau (p-Tau), is a central pathological hallmark of Alzheimer's disease (AD) and a defining feature of a class of neurodegenerative disorders known as tauopathies [1].

Fermiology-driven goniopolar transverse thermoelectricity in kagome metals
Abstract The exotic geometry of the kagome lattice drives emergent quantum states and advances energy technologies; however, the anomalous Nernst effect (ANE)-based magnetic systems are fundamentally limited by low thermopowers (<6μ V K−1) and stray-field interference. Here we propose goniopolarity (axis-dependent carrier polarity) to achieve high zero-field transverse thermoelectric responses in kagome systems.

ABSTRACT Generative artificial intelligence (GAI) is increasingly integrated into interactive learning environments (ILEs), yet its role in entrepreneurship education remains theoretically underexplored.
Light engineering in aquaculture: physiological responses of Takifugu rubripes larvae to controlled LED irradiance
Abstract Introduction: While indoor aquaculture has expanded globally, optimal lighting strategies for fish growth remain understudied. This study aims to establish optimal LED protocols for indoor-reared Takifugu rubripes larvae. Methods: T. rubripes larvae were maintained at 50, 250, 500, and 750 mW/m2 (i50, i250, i500, i750) from hatching through 30 DPH. Growth, gene expression, and enzyme activities were measured.
Microglial CD31 suppresses Aβ clearance and promotes Alzheimer pathology in 5×FAD mice
Abstract Microglia play crucial roles in Alzheimer’s disease (AD), yet the molecular mechanisms are unclear. Here, we show that CD31, a recognized endothelial marker, is predominantly expressed in microglia but not in neurons or astrocytes, and it is significantly elevated in the brains of AD patients and mouse models.

Candida auris vacuolar calcium pump mediates fluconazole efflux and resistance evolution - Nature Microbiology
Abstract Candida auris is an emerging fungal pathogen notable for its intrinsically high resistance to fluconazole, the most prescribed antifungal drug. However, the genetic regulators underlying fluconazole susceptibility in C. auris remain unclear. Here we performed a pooled screen of piggyBac (PB) transposition mutants and identified significant enrichment of mitochondrial genes whose inactivation reduces fluconazole susceptibility.
hnRNPM cooperates with BCAS2 to modulate alternative splicing during oocyte development - Nature Communications
Abstract Growing oocytes accumulate maternal mRNA to support subsequent meiotic maturation and maternal-to-zygotic transition. However, the regulatory mechanisms governing the fate of these maternal mRNAs remain largely unknown. Here, we identified heterogeneous nuclear ribonucleoprotein M (hnRNPM) as a critical regulator of pre-mRNA alternative splicing during mouse oocyte development. Genetic ablation of hnRNPM leads to severe cytoplasmic defects, meiotic arrest, and complete female infertility.
FOXF2 regulates pericyte–endothelial signaling required for vascular homeostasis after neonatal hyperoxic lung injury - Nature Communications
Abstract Pulmonary vascular development is essential for alveolarization, and disruption of this process contributes to pathogenesis of bronchopulmonary dysplasia (BPD). Proper vascular development requires an orchestration of many cell types within the lung. However, the transcriptional mechanisms by which pericytes support the endothelium in the postnatal lung remain poorly understood.

Stem cell-derived extracellular vesicles -mediated bone regeneration: mechanisms, targeted delivery, and clinical perspectives in promoting angiogenesis
Abstract Angiogenesis is indispensable for bone regeneration and tightly coupled to osteogenesis, yet inadequate vascularization remains a common cause of repair failure in critical-sized defects, compromised fractures, and osteochondral lesions. Conventional growth-factor delivery and cell transplantation rarely reproduce the spatiotemporal vascular program required for functional healing, motivating the search for controllable and translatable alternatives.

Abstract Carbon-mediated active site engineering has demonstrated remarkable electrocatalytic activities for oxygen reduction reactions (ORR), yet the relationship between carbonaceous structure and ORR selectivity remains unclear. Herein, we show that local active sites and sp2 domain size jointly regulate ORR selectivity.
Active Thermal Metasurfaces Enable Superscattering of Thermal Signatures Across Arbitrary Shapes and Thermal Conductivities
1 Introduction Superscattering originates from a special optical illusion designed using transformation optics.[1, 2] Unlike conventional scattering, superscattering refers to a phenomenon where the electromagnetic (EM) scattering cross-section of a structure, which consists of an original EM scatterer encapsulated by a metamaterial or metasurface shell, far exceeds the geometrical cross-section of the entire structure.[3, 4] Moreover, this enhanced scattering cross-section is entirely...

Essential role of CFAP77-CCDC105-TEX43 subcomplex in connecting axonemal A and B tubules for mammalian sperm motility
Abstract The assembly and physiological function of cilia and flagella depend on the stable association of A and B tubules, which form axonemal microtubule doublets (DMTs). CFAP77 encodes a core outer junction (OJ) protein within DMTs that is conserved across species and cell types. However, whether and how CFAP77 mediates the connection of B tubules to A tubules of DMTs in mammalian cilia/flagella are unknown.
