A symbiotic skin hydrogel interface enabled by flexible hydrogel network with embedded enhancement structure
Abstract Wearable electrophysiological monitoring based on hydrogel electrodes is pivotal for decoding the body’s “electrical language”, yet fundamentally hampered by the unstable mechano-electrical interface between flexible electrodes and the skin caused by dehydration and poor breathability. Here, we demonstrate a symbiotic interface between an embedded-interfacial enhanced breathable conductive hydrogel network (BCHN) and skin for high-fidelity long-term electrophysiological monitoring.
Single cell spatial transcriptomics track the evolutionary hierarchy and microenvironment remodeling during breast carcinoma invasion
Abstract The progression from ductal carcinoma in situ (DCIS) to invasive breast carcinoma (IBC) critically determines patient outcomes, yet its mechanisms remain incompletely understood. Integrating single-cell RNA sequencing, spatial transcriptomics, and genomics across 28 patients with synchronous DCIS and IBC, we delineate the spatial-molecular hierarchy of this transition.
Indocyanine green angiography and machine learning analysis determine topographic distribution of peripheral hard drusen in a Chinese cohort
Abstract Hard drusen appear as hyperfluorescent dots on indocyanine green angiography (ICGA) due to their high phospholipid content. This study aims to explore the distribution of peripheral hard drusen across age groups and retinal regions, and their correlation with macular pathology including hard drusen, soft drusen, and progression to neovascular age-related macular degeneration (nAMD). A hospital-based retrospective study was conducted at Zhongshan Ophthalmic Center.

Terahertz dynamic multiband perfect absorber with a digital coding graphene-diamond metasurface
The monolayer graphene-based terahertz (THz) perfect absorber has made significant progress in switchable devices with diverse functionalities. However, existing methods for achieving switchability rely on either multilayered metasurface with complex configurations or complicated patterned metasurfaces. A switchable absorber that switches between n-band and m-band modes (n, m correspond to the number of resonance peaks) using tunable materials is also interesting but has not yet been mentioned.

Letter: Risks of proton pump inhibitor treatment in cirrhotic patients
We read with great interest the recent multicentre retrospective cohort study by Yoon et al1 showing that the use of high-dose proton pump inhibitor (PPI) was independently associated with increased risks of mortality and cirrhotic complications including hepatic encephalopathy (HE), spontaneous bacterial peritonitis(SBP), hepatorenal syndrome and gastrointestinal bleeding (GIB). However, we have two concerns about this study.
Enhancing secure multi-group data sharing through integration of IPFS and hyperledger fabric
The Internet has revolutionized data access, making data sharing a ubiquitous aspect of daily life. However, sharing data over public networks exposes it to significant security risks, such as data error handing and tampering (Anwar et al., 2022). This has led to a major challenge in ensuring data integrity and verifiability. Trusted third parties play a crucial role in facilitating secure data sharing, as they can authenticate and reliably transmit data (Naz et al., 2019).

Mode coupling in FM-EDFAs caused by fiber bending: theory and experiments
Refractive index perturbation caused by erbium-doped fiber (EDF) bending is inevitable in the fabrication of erbium-doped fiber amplifiers (EDFAs). The resulting mode coupling might bring about the deviation of theoretical results from experimental data. We present a theoretical model of FM-EDFAs with mode coupling due to fiber bending and carry out a proof-of-concept experiment by a 3.2-m-long EDF stretcher.

The Study of Surface Structure and the Tribological Property of DLC-Modified NBR Elastomers Using DC-MS
Abstract : The DLC film was prepared on a nitrile rubber (NBR) elastomer by DC magnetron sputtering (DC-MS), and the sp3 ratio of the DLC film was adjusted by changing the negative bias voltage applied to the substrate. The microstructure, composition, and tribological properties of the DLC films deposited on NBR substrates were systematically investigated. The results reveal that the DLC film on the NBR surface can protect the NBR and reduce the surface roughness of the NBR.
