Narrated coaching knowledge networks among elite coaches in open-skill and closed-skill sports
Abstract Elite coaches draw on multiple forms of knowledge, yet previous research has focused more on identifying knowledge domains than on how these domains are organized and connected. This study investigated narrated coaching knowledge among 17 elite Chinese coaches from open-skill and closed-skill sports.
Unravelling Mechanisms of Acquired Drought Tolerance by Priming in Tomato Using Integrative Multi-Omics Phenotypic Analysis
1 Introduction Numerous studies have focused on the effects of a single drought event on crops, yet crops typically experience recurrent drought events throughout their life cycle (Sadhukhan et al. 2022). Under these conditions, crop growth and survival depend on the ability of plants to ‘memorise’ previous drought events, respond faster, and become more resilient to subsequent drought events (Sadhukhan et al. 2022).
Space radiation health risks to hematopoietic, neural, and gastrointestinal systems in astronauts
Abstract The rapid progress in global deep space exploration presents astronauts with a complex space radiation environment that substantially exceeds that of near-Earth orbit. Space radiation primarily consists of galactic cosmic rays (GCRs) and solar particle events (SPEs), which exhibit strong penetrative capability and considerable biological damaging potential.
Navigating regional zero-carbon steel pathways in China by aligning spatial resource constraints with facility heterogeneity
Abstract China’s iron and steel sector is pivotal to global industrial decarbonization, yet near-zero transition pathways under heterogeneous regional resource endowments remain poorly understood. Here we develop a plant-resolved, spatially explicit framework that integrates a facility-level emission database, a cost-minimizing technology model and geospatial resource matching.
Case Report: Endovascular repair for true lumen collapse after frozen elephant trunk for type A aortic dissection
Abstract Introduction: Frozen elephant trunk (FET) was applied in the treatment of type A aortic dissection, enabling one-stage repair of the aortic arch and proximal descending aorta while promoting true lumen expansion. However, inadvertent FET deployment into the false lumen is a rare but catastrophic complication that may cause true lumen collapse and life-threatening visceral malperfusion, with limited reports on its endovascular management.
Acoustic iso-propagation vortices for robust underwater communications
Abstract Underwater acoustic communications are limited by low information capacity and data rate. While orbital-angular-momentum (OAM) multiplexing can address these issues, conventional OAM beams scale poorly in realistic ocean environments over long distances because their beam diameter increases with topological charge, amplifying crosstalk and alignment sensitivity over range.

Optimal portfolio selection in mutual aid insurance under smooth ambiguity and habit formation
Abstract In this article, we explore the optimal portfolio selection problem for an individual who participates in mutual aid insurance and purchases life insurance under an environment where smooth ambiguity and habit formation coexist. The individual invests in a market with one risk-free and two risky assets whose unknown market prices result in ambiguity. Habit formation depends on historical consumption and is state-dependent.
Guide RNA reprogramming facilitates minimized tracrRNA-dependent off-target and versatile CRISPR/Cas9 engineering
Abstract While innovative, current CRISPR-Cas9 systems face safety concerns and practical hurdles, notably sequence-independent, noncanonical off-targeting. We demonstrate that the crRNA:tracrRNA duplex in guide RNAs (gRNA) is both splittable and reprogrammable. This property, however, enables endogenous RNAs with crRNA-like sequences to hijack any gRNAs, causing low-frequency yet pervasive tracrRNA-dependent off-target (TDO) effects.

Imaging foundation model for universal enhancement of non-ideal measurement CT
|
Abstract Non-ideal measurement computed tomography (CT) employs suboptimal imaging protocols to expand CT applications. However, the resulting trade-offs degrade image quality, limiting clinical acceptability. Although deep learning methods have been used to enhance non-ideal measurement CT images, their reliance on large training datasets and limited generalizability across diverse settings hinder practical use.

Multilayer-induced stress manipulation for superior piezoelectric performance and temperature stability in lead-free piezoceramics
Abstract The sensitivity and reliability of piezoelectric accelerometers heavily rely on the piezoelectric coefficient and temperature stability of their core components. However, the inherent nature of polycrystalline phase boundaries in lead-free piezoceramics poses a significant challenge in simultaneously achieving excellent comprehensive properties.
Boosting pathology foundation models via few-shot prompt-tuning for rare cancer subtyping
Abstract Rare cancers comprise 20–25% of malignancies (over 70% in pediatric oncology) but face major diagnostic challenges due to limited expert availability. While pathology vision-language models show promising zero-shot capabilities for common cancers, their performance on rare cancers remains limited. Existing multi-instance learning (MIL) methods rely solely on visual features, overlooking cross-modal knowledge and compromising interpretability critical for rare cancer diagnosis.

Manifold topological deep learning for biomedical data
Abstract Recently, topological deep learning (TDL), which integrates algebraic topology with deep neural networks, has achieved significant success in processing point-cloud data and has emerged as a promising paradigm in data science. However, TDL has not been extended to differentiable-manifold data, including images, due to the challenges introduced by differential topology. We address this challenge by introducing a manifold topological deep learning (MTDL) framework.

Arginine methylation-dependent stabilization of SUV39H1 promotes breast cancer growth - Oncogene
Abstract Suppressors of variegation 3-9 homolog 1 (SUV39H1), the enzyme responsible for establishing histone H3 lysine 9 trimethylation (H3K9me3) marks in heterochromatin, is frequently dysregulated in cancers. However, the mechanisms underlying SUV39H1 dysregulation in breast cancer remain largely unclear. Here, we report that protein arginine methyltransferase 1 (PRMT1) directly interacts with SUV39H1 and dimethylates it at arginine 378 (R378).

Crotonate suppresses breast cancer metastasis and promotes immunotherapy response by inducing ACSS2-mediated EZH2-K348 crotonylation
Abstract Crotonate, a short-chain fatty acid, generates protein crotonylation. However, the role of crotonate in cancer progression is unknown. Here, we present a crotonate–crotonyl–coenzyme A (CoA)–enhancer of zeste homolog 2 (EZH2) crotonylation cascade blocking breast cancer growth and metastasis. We demonstrated that crotonate promotes EZH2 degradation via crotonyl-CoA–mediated crotonylation at Lys348 in EZH2 (EZH2-K348cr).

Non-zero-sum stochastic differential investment and reinsurance games with default risk and delay under the Heston local-stochastic volatility model
This paper investigates a stochastic differential investment and reinsurance game with delay between two competitive constant absolute risk aversion (CARA) insurers in a defaultable market. Each insurer purchases a proportional reinsurance contract to transfer the claim risk and invests its wealth in three assets: a risk-free asset, a risky asset whose price process is described by the Heston local-stochastic volatility model, and a defaultable bond.
