BURLINGTON, Vt. (WCAX) - A quiet and warm night leads into a more active Thursday as a cold front brings scattered showers and thunderstorms to the region. The Storm Prediction Center has the area under a Marginal Risk for severe weather Thursday — Level 1 on a scale of 1 to 5 — with the best chance for a stronger storm across northern New York and northern Vermont. The main concern with any stronger storm would be damaging wind gusts, though the overall severe threat remains limited.
