PARKERSBURG, W.Va. (WTAP) - An infant born with birth defects has undergone at least five surgeries after repeated failures of connectors on a G-J tube device, according to his mother. Elijah Beazel was born May 30 and spent several months in the hospital due to birth defects. He was placed on a gastric tube, or G-tube, in August 2025. In November 2025, he was switched to a G-J tube made by Applied Medical Technology.
