Targeting alanyl-tRNA synthetase 1 unlocks antitumor immunity by inducing type I interferon signaling in ovarian cancer
Abstract Ovarian cancer is a leading cause of gynecological cancer-related mortality, with its immunosuppressive tumor microenvironment (TME) limiting the effectiveness of immune checkpoint inhibitor therapy. Alanyl-tRNA synthetase 1 (AARS1) expression in ovarian cancer has been linked to poor prognosis; however, its immunological role remains unclear. In this study, we generated an Aars1-knockdown ID8 syngeneic mouse model to evaluate the role of AARS1 in vivo.
Targeting mannosylation of nicastrin N-glycans attenuates γ -secretase activity and notch-dependent leukemia progression
Abstract γ-Secretase is a transmembrane protease complex that cleaves multiple type I transmembrane proteins, including amyloid precursor protein and neurogenic locus notch homolog protein (NOTCH). Although numerous γ-secretase inhibitors and modulators targeting Notch-dependent cancers have been developed in recent decades, their clinical translation has been hampered by low substrate specificity and on-target gut toxicity.
Ligand engineering enables an alkaline iron-chromium redox flow battery
Abstract Iron-chromium redox flow batteries are promising for long-duration energy storage owing to their safety, low cost, and environmental compatibility, but are limited by sluggish chromium(II/III) kinetics and parasitic hydrogen evolution in chromium-based negolytes. Here we re-engineer iron-chromium redox chemistry through chelation-driven molecular design using the strong-field ligand 2,2-Bis(hydroxymethyl)−2,2’,2”-nitrilotriethanol.
Condensed Matter > Mesoscale and Nanoscale Physics
We unveil a peculiar dynamical transition for the propagation of wave packets in non-Hermitian Chern insulators, where the evolution of the topological wave packets at the edge is not solely determined by the topological Chern number. Unlike the Hermitian Chern insulator, where a wave packet initiated at the edge propagates along the system boundary, here it may instead penetrate into the bulk.

Correction to: Nature Plants https://doi.org/10.1038/s41477-026-02386-6, published online 25 August 2026. In the version of the article initially published, in Fig. 7d, the “AD” labels were (from top-to-bottom) “ZmDEL1a-D1, ZmDEL1a-D2, ZmDEL1a-(D1+D2), ZmDEL1a, Empty” but should have been “E2F12 N(D1), E2F12 N(D2), E2F12 N(D1+D2), E2F12, Empty”. In the “Flowering plants” section of Fig. 7i, the lower label, “DEL”, should have read “E2F12”.
Atypical E2F transcription factors couple Polycomb Repressive Complex 2 to endosperm cell division and differentiation
Abstract Flowering plant endosperm and mammalian placenta represent convergent evolutionary products sharing conserved developmental programmes, embryonic nutrient transport and genomic imprinting. Polycomb Repressive Complex 2 (PRC2)-mediated H3K27me3 silencing restricts precocious tissue overproliferation in both lineages, yet the underlying molecular mechanism remains undefined.

Surface area and porosity are critical factors that significantly influence the electrochemical performance of HC. Therefore, N 2 adsorption–desorption measurement was used to investigate the samples’ textural properties. As shown in Figure 2 a, BC 1200 exhibits the highest N 2 uptake, displaying a type-IV isotherm with a hysteresis loop at high relative pressure and indicating a complex macro-/mesoporous structure that is also rich in micropore.
Case report of a fatal probable catastrophic antiphospholipid syndrome
Abstract Catastrophic antiphospholipid syndrome (CAPS) is an uncommon but often fatal manifestation of antiphospholipid syndrome, marked by rapid, diffuse microvascular thrombosis with multiorgan involvement. In practice, the initial clinical picture can be indistinguishable from severe infection or sepsis-associated organ failure, which makes early diagnosis challenging. Early recognition is critical, as delayed intervention is associated with high mortality.

Facile induction of immune tolerance by an interleukin-2–TGFβ surrogate agonist
Abstract CD4+ regulatory T cells (Treg cells) are essential for immune tolerance1. Peripherally induced Treg cells (pTreg cells) complement thymic Treg cells by broadening Treg cell reactivity in response to a changing antigenic landscape2. Although both TGFβ and IL-2 synergistically promote functional pTreg cell development in vitro3,4,5,6, their combined roles in inducing pTreg cell generation in vivo have not been exploited for tolerizing immunotherapy.

Nonlinear Nernst effect in trilayer graphene at zero magnetic field - Nature Nanotechnology
Abstract The Nernst effect, that is, the generation of a transverse voltage in response to a temperature gradient, enables thermoelectric energy conversion. In the absence of an external magnetic field, the linear Nernst effect is forbidden in non-magnetic materials because of time-reversal symmetry constraints, but the recently predicted nonlinear Nernst effect (NNE) is allowed.

Here, we mapped the single-cell landscape of a total of six samples from matched SCNECC cancerous foci and normal adjacent cervical tissues.
Potential Distribution Prediction of Terminalia chebula Retz. in China Under Current and Future Climate Scenarios
1 Introduction Climate change is driving the spread of plants and causing changes in the range of suitable growing areas (Hebbar et al. 2022; Li et al. 2019). In the decades ahead, biodiversity will face a greater threat from global warming than from habitat destruction (Bradshaw et al. 2021). Climate significantly influences plant growth and reproduction, playing a major role in determining the geographical distribution of plant species (Bertrand et al. 2011; Lenoir et al. 2008).
IL-9 as a naturally orthogonal cytokine with optimal JAK/STAT signaling for engineered T cell therapy
Abstract Arming T cells with a synthetically orthogonal IL-9 receptor (o9R) permits facile engraftment and potent anti-tumor functions. We considered whether the paucity of natural IL-9R expression could be exploited for T cell immunotherapy given that, in mice, high doses of IL-9 were well-tolerated without discernible immune modulation. Compared to o9R, T cells engineered with IL-9R exhibit superior tissue infiltration, stemness, and anti-tumor activity.
