BIRMINGHAM, Ala. ( WBRC) - Nothing would make Auburn fans happier than to see their Tigers knock off Alabama and spoil the Crimson Tide's postseason dreams. As it turns it, a loss to Auburn would keep Alabama out of the SEC Championship and most likely the College Football Playoff. After losing 23-21 to Oklahoma Saturday, the Crimson Tide are now 8-2 (6-1 SEC) and can not afford another loss as the season winds down.

Military heroes honored, recognized at Birmingham event

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WBRC) - The Alabama Leadership Program hosted a heroes luncheon honoring American military veterans who served in different branches of the armed forces. Many attendees were Medal of Honor and Purple Heart recipients. The luncheon was held at the Botanical Gardens in Birmingham and featured keynote speaker U.S. Marine Corps Sgt. Carlos Evans. Evans stepped on an improvised explosive device while serving in Afghanistan, losing both legs and his left hand.

(WBRC) - ESPN host and college football personality Paul Finebaum confirmed to WBRC’s Janice Rogers Monday he is “seriously considering” a run for Alabama’s open U.S. Senate seat in the 2026 Republican primary. The ESPN & SEC Network host is considering a run for the Senate seat being vacated by Sen. Tommy Tuberville (R), who’s running for Governor. Finebaum told Outkick’s Clay Travis that the Charlie Kirk assassination made him rethink his priorities.
