Wider vector/SIMD lanes multiply compute throughput, but cache improvements remain challenging. We identify L1 data cache capacity as the most impactful parameter for performance and efficiency. L1 capacity is constrained by pipeline coupling and latency requirements; private L2 offers an order of magnitude more capacity but is inaccessible from software.

ZDHHC8-mediated S-palmitoylation of RAD21 causes mitochondrial dysfunction in diabetic nephropathy via inhibiting ACSM3 transcription
|
Abstract Tubulointerstitial injury exerts a key role in diabetic nephropathy (DN) development; however, its potential mechanism is still unclear. We explored the role and molecular mechanisms of RAD21 cohesin complex component (RAD21) in mitochondrial dysfunction during tubulointerstitial injury of DN. We found that RAD21 was down-regulated, but its S-palmitoylation level was up-regulated in DN.

1 Introduction As the times have progressed, the functions of various structures and systems have become increasingly diverse, and their performance requirements have continued to rise. During operation, they are prone to various shock effects, which can lead to performance degradation or even failure. System failures can mainly be divided into the following two categories: One is hard failures caused by external impacts such as fracture [1, 2].

Analysis of imported Chikungunya cases in China from 2006 to 2026
Abstract Background: Chikungunya fever (CHIKF) has impacted 119 countries and regions globally. In 2025, a local outbreak occurred in Guangdong, China, driven by imported cases from Sri Lanka, resulting in over 25,000 diagnoses. This highlights CHIKF as a significant public health concern. Analyzing imported cases in China and discussing travel medicine and related preventive measures is essential.
Editorial: Multifunctional nanomaterials: stand in the center of cancer therapy as well as tissue regeneration and repair
Cancer-related sepsis remains one of the most challenging emergencies in acute oncology (Williams et al., 2023). Patients with malignancy are generally considered to have an increased susceptibility to severe infections and poorer outcomes in sepsis compared to the general population (Parker, 2019; Williams et al., 2023; Nates et al., 2024).

Aptamer‐Engineered Liposomal Platform Enables in Situ cDC1 Vaccination to Potentiate Immunotherapy in Prostate Cancer
1 Introduction Prostate cancer (PCa) is the most common malignancy of the male genitourinary system and the second leading cause of cancer-related death among men in many developed countries [1]. While radical prostatectomy remains the preferred treatment for early-stage PCa, approximately 30% of patients are diagnosed at an advanced stage or with distant metastases. This renders them ineligible for radical surgery or radiotherapy, resulting in a poor 5-year survival rate of only ∼30% [2].
Physical Techniques Empowering Meat Processing: Mechanisms and Application Prospects for Enhancing Safety and Quality

Intercellular Horizontal Transfer of TXNDC5 mRNA via Extracellular Vesicles Contributes to Tumor‐Associated Macrophage‐Mediated Prostate Cancer Metastasis
1 Introduction Prostate cancer (PCa) accounts for 29% of the estimated new cancer cases among men in the United States [1]. Tumor metastasis is the leading cause of death in PCa patients. The five-year survival rate for patients with non-metastatic PCa (nmPCa) exceeds 98%, whereas it drops to less than 30% once metastasis occurs [2, 3]. Tumor metastasis is a complex process involving multiple factors and stages, with the tumor microenvironment (TME) playing a crucial role in PCa [4, 5].

Regulating Zinc Anode Crystallographic Orientation: Unveiling the Role of Electrolyte Additives in Dendrite‐Free Aqueous Zinc‐Ion Batteries
Aqueous zinc-ion batteries (AZIBs) are considered promising next-generation energy storage systems because of their non-flammability, cost-effectiveness, and high theoretical capacity (820 mAh g−1). However, their practical application is limited by low Coulombic efficiency and poor cycle stability caused by irreversible side reactions and dendritic zinc growth.
