WALCOTT, Iowa (KCRG) - Hundreds of truck drivers have been pulled from Iowa’s roadways - not for speeding or reckless driving - but because they could not read a road sign. A new Iowa law will tighten penalties starting in March for failing language proficiency checks. Drivers at the Iowa 80 Walcott Truckers Jamboree Thursday said a lot has changed from the “old ways” they are trying to preserve through community events like the Jamboree.

That is just one example of frustrations LRS customers have shared with TV9 in recent months - and with the state Attorney General’s office. For Kyle Delveau and Mikala Cicalo-Delveau, who moved right outside of North Liberty limits about seven years ago, an expansive yard has meant time spent together taking care of the plants.

We the People: West Liberty turning 1841 stagecoach inn into museum

WEST LIBERTY, Iowa (KCRG) - A piece of Iowa’s history from before it was even a state is getting a refresh. The West Liberty Heritage Foundation is raising money to turn an old stagecoach inn into a museum. Travelers heading westward into the Iowa Territory in 1841, five years before it became a state, would have come across the large residence and stayed there for the night before trains or cars could whisk them across the state.
