Clifton Water District addresses tap water discoloration

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KJCT) - Some Clifton residents were surprised to find discolored water coming from their taps on Thursday afternoon. Clifton Water District said that the discoloration was caused by hydraulic testing at its water treatment. This pushed water velocity higher than usual in its main transmission line, unexpectedly stirring up naturally occurring sediment that had built up over time.

Pueblo church statues smashed, dumped in roadway, police say

PUEBLO, Colo. — Statues of several saints belonging to a Pueblo church were damaged over the weekend after a group of people removed them from their pedestals and left them in a roadway, police said. In a press release issued Thursday, the Pueblo Police Department said its officers were dispatched to the 2700 block of E. 12th Street after a caller reported a traffic hazard. The hazard turned out to be statues of St. Mary, St. Anne, and St. Michael.

North Shores police seek help finding missing endangered 49-year-old man

NORTON SHORES, Mich. — The Norton Shores Police Department is asking for help finding a missing endangered man. Police said 49-year-old Eddie Lee Donald Junior left his assisted living home on East Mount Garfield Road around 1:15 p.m. Saturday. He was last seen walking north on Henry Street, police said. Investigators said Donald does not have a phone, wallet, ID, or extra clothing. Police described Donald as a 6-foot-1 Black man who weighs about 246 pounds.
