Kalamazoo Community Healing Center kicks off Roof Sit

Kalamazoo Community Healing Centers kicked off their 25th annual Roof Sit Thursday morning on the corner of South Westnedge Avenue and West Milham Avenue. Roof Sit raises funds and awareness for children's programs aiming to treat and prevent child abuse and neglect, according to Community Healing Centers. The funds will go directly towards benefiting the programs that Community Healing Centers provides, according to Allysa Crittenden, development director at Community Healing Centers.

'EV Toolkits' to help prepare Michigan communities for electric vehicle development

Gretchen Whitmer announced the launch of the State of Michigan Community EV Toolkit, an online resource for local governments to prepare for the future of electric vehicle, or EV, deployment and adoption, according to a news release. The State of Michigan Community EV Toolkit will serve local governments, communities and stakeholders with quick access to key data and background information, according to Whitmer.
