MADISON, Wis. (WMTV) - As Teacher Appreciation Week comes to a close, the final Crystal Apple educator is celebrated for a life of service spanning four decades. Ms. Chris Eshun of St. James Catholic School in Madison receives Crystal Apple Award after 40 years of service. Chris Eshun has taught fourth grade at St. James Catholic School since 1985. She received the Crystal Apple Award for creating experiences for her students and modeling a life of service.

(WMTV) - Shannon Longworth faces a challenge that might not come to mind when thinking about teachers: her students are not only new to her classroom or the school, but also new to the state and the country. La Follette High School teacher Shannon Longworth receives WMTV Crystal Apple Award. Longworth, a bilingual resource teacher at La Follette High School, received the WMTV Crystal Apple Award for creating a sense of belonging for students who are in a completely new environment.

MADISON, Wis. (WMTV) - 2026 Crystal Apple Award winner Emily Behn isn’t just a typical high school math teacher at Wisconsin Dells High School. Crystal Apple Award Behn is not only driven about data, but she’s driven to help her students too. She has taught geometry all the way to AP Calculus in 23 years as a teacher. Behn’s passion for teaching has motivated her to spend nights and weekends at school, learning study sessions to help her students succeed.
