KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) - Missouri Governor Mike Kehoe repealed a paid sick leave bill on Thursday, which is a benefit some contracted workers in the state say they can’t afford. House Bill 567 was repealed on Thursday, no longer requiring employers to provide paid sick time to employees starting August 28. Missouri voters passed Proposition A last November, which included raising the state’s minimum wage and required employers to begin providing earned paid sick time in May.
