GILBERT, AZ (AZFamily) — A newly released police report and 911 calls are providing new details about how an 18-month-old boy who was declared dead at a Gilbert hospital was later found alive in the morgue. The child was pulled from a backyard swimming pool during a Super Bowl party around 5:30 p.m. on Feb. 8. According to the police report, the toddler had been floating face down in the pool for approximately 10 to 15 minutes.

The sheriff’s office has declined to provide details about how the dog died, calling the matter an active investigation.
