Paediatric obstructive sleep apnoea and early cardiovascular risk phenotypes: an evidence review
Introduction Paediatric obstructive sleep apnoea (OSA) is characterised by recurrent upper-airway obstruction during sleep, intermittent hypoxaemia/hypercapnia and sleep fragmentation and remains the most common indication for adenotonsillectomy in children [1]. Common polysomnography (PSG) exposure metrics include the apnoea–hypopnoea index (AHI) (apnoeas and hypopnoeas per hour of sleep), the oxygen desaturation index (ODI) (desaturation events per hour) and arousal indices.
The neurocomputational mechanisms underlying the impact of social comparison on effort investment
Abstract Previous research has shown that favorable monetary outcomes relative to others enhance neural responses; however, these paradigms often confound the subjective utility of social comparison with absolute reward magnitude. It remains unclear how performance-based social comparisons modulate an individual’s self-efficacy and the subsequent effort mobilization.
Assessment of advance care planning readiness and its determinants among peritoneal dialysis patients in China
Abstract Advance care planning (ACP) is essential for respecting patient autonomy and improving end-of-life care quality. However, the level of ACP readiness and its determinants among individuals receiving peritoneal dialysis (PD) in China remain insufficiently explored. This study employed a cross-sectional descriptive-analytical design. From January to June 2025, 129 adults receiving PD were recruited using convenience sampling from two tertiary hospitals in Sichuan Province, China.
Inhibition of circulating glycocholic acid-regulated signaling potentiates immune checkpoint therapy in colorectal cancer
Abstract Serum bile acids (BAs) emerge as risk factors for cancer, but their roles in colorectal cancer (CRC) remain unclear. We show that glycocholic acid (GCA), a primary BA, is elevated in the serum of CRC patients. In a mouse CRC model, GCA promotes tumor programmed death-ligand 1 (PD-L1) expression in tumors, suppressing CD8⁺ T cell-mediated antitumor immunity and facilitating tumor growth.
Risk factors for recurrence and surgical site infection after abdominal wall hernia repair: a systematic review and meta analysis
Abstract Background: Surgical site infection (SSI) and hernia recurrence are among the most common and impactful complications following abdominal wall hernia repair. Identifying patient-related risk factors is essential for improving outcomes and guiding perioperative management. Methods: A systematic review and meta-analysis were conducted in accordance with PRISMA 2020 and AMSTAR 2 guidelines. PubMed, Embase, Scopus, CNKI,Wanfang, and VIP were searched up to September 20,2025.
Effect of Laser Power on Microstructure and Mechanical Properties of W/HEA/Cu Laser Welded Joints
Abstract In this study, pure tungsten (W) and pure copper (Cu) blocks were welded using laser beam welding with a high-entropy alloy (HEA) (FeCoNiCrCu) as the intermediate layer. The effects of laser power (1500, 1750, and 2000 W) on the microstructure, hardness, strength, and toughness of the composite welded joints were investigated.
Frontiers | Development of a colloidal gold immunochromatographic strip for the rapid detection of fowl adenovirus serotype 4 using prepared penton protein-specific monoclonal antibodies
Abstract Fowl adenovirus serotype 4 (FAdV-4) is the primary pathogen responsible for hydropericardium-hepatitis syndrome (HHS) and is associated with high mortality rates (20–80%) in 3–6-week-old chickens. This study aimed to develop a rapid and specific method for detecting FAdV-4. Two monoclonal antibodies (mAbs 6B3 and 8G11) against the FAdV-4 penton protein were successfully generated using hybridoma technology, both of which exhibited high titers (1:100,000) and strong serotype specificity.

Does China’s emission trading scheme promote industry-level green innovation: evidence from Guangdong pilot market
1 Introduction The “Dual Carbon” goals are environmental targets set by the China government to address both carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions and carbon intensity. Specifically, China government pledges to achieve two following objectives simultaneously, known as Carbon Emission Peak and Carbon Neutrality. The former is to cap its total CO2 emission at a certain level by 2035 and reduce them gradually, while the latter is to balance the amount of carbon emissions and removal or offsetting.

Cobalt(II)-Catalyzed Intermolecular Aminocarbonylation of Indoles with Amines
A cobalt(II)-catalyzed C2–H carbonylation of indoles with amines toward indole-2-carboxamides has been developed. By employing Co(OAc)2·4H2O as an inexpensive catalyst and using benzene-1,3,5-triyl triformate (TFBen) as the CO surrogate, a variety of indole-2-carboxamide derivatives were produced in moderate to high yields. Additionally, several bioactive-molecule-related compounds can be applied as substrates, as well.
Combination therapy of HIFα inhibitors and Treg depletion strengthen the anti‐tumor immunity in mice
Introduction CD8+ T cells play critical roles in various biological processes and diseases, including adaptive immune response and cancer [1, 2]. Cognate stimuli clonally expand and differentiate CD8+ naïve T cells into distinct effector T cells and memory T-cell subsets [3], which possess short-lived cytotoxic effects and the capacity to persist and respond to repeated threats, respectively.

[2308.02263] Efficient Monaural Speech Enhancement using Spectrum Attention Fusion
Speech enhancement is a demanding task in automated speech processing pipelines, focusing on separating clean speech from noisy channels. Transformer based models have recently bested RNN and CNN models in speech enhancement, however at the same time they are much more computationally expensive and require much more high quality training data, which is always hard to come by.
IGFBP1 Sustains Cell Survival during Spatially‐Confined Migration and Promotes Tumor Metastasis
Abstract Cell migration is a pivotal step in metastatic process, which requires cancer cells to navigate a complex spatially-confined environment, including tracks within blood vessels and in the vasculature of target organs. Here it is shown that during spatially-confined migration, the expression of insulin-like growth factor-binding protein 1 (IGFBP1) is upregulated in tumor cells.
Reward History Modulates the Processing of Task-Irrelevant Emotional Faces in a Demanding Task
Abstract : The aim of the current study was to examine how reward-associated emotional facial distractors could capture attentional resources in a demanding visual task using event-related potentials (ERPs). In the learning phase, a high- or low-reward probability was paired with angry, happy, or neutral faces.
