Unlocking regional total factor carbon efficiency through digital-green convergent innovation
Abstract Amid mounting climate imperatives, cities face the dual challenge of sustaining economic growth while achieving low-carbon development. To address this, the paper conceptualizes digital-green convergent innovation (DGCI) as a quality-weighted knowledge recombination process embedded within regional innovation systems and shaped by public-economics constraints.
A foundation model for acute abdomen diagnosis stratification and triage on noncontrast computed tomography
Abstract Accurate and timely diagnosis of acute abdominal emergencies remains challenging. Non-contrast computed tomography (NCCT) is often used as an initial imaging modality because of atypical presentations, contraindications to contrast, or resource constraints. Here we present AbdomenNet, a multi-task AI system built on a self-supervised foundation model that detects 11 acute abdominal conditions and performs three risk-stratification subtasks from NCCT images.
Deep learning-based analysis of paraspinal muscle changes in lumbar disc herniation
Abstract Lumbar disc herniation (LDH) is a predominant cause of low back pain, significantly affecting the quality of life of patients and closely linked to the condition of paraspinal muscles (PSM). However, existing two-dimensional (2D) measurement techniques that rely on muscle cross-sectional area exhibit limitations and fail to accurately represent the true state of these muscles.

Sad emotion processing-related theta oscillation patterns link suicide attempt to childhood trauma in depression: evidence from MEG
Abstract Major depressive disorder (MDD) is a severe mood disorder with genetic and environmental interactions. Subtypes with childhood trauma (CT) tend to have higher rates of suicide attempt (SA). The amygdala (AMY) and medial prefrontal cortex (mPFC) are integral to the neurocircuitry underlying emotional processing, with dysregulation of these regions being posited as a pathophysiological hallmark both in CT and SA. However, the specific neural mechanisms linking CT and SA are unclear.

Peanuts contain around 45–56% oil and 24% protein, as well as fatty acids (FA) like oleic acid (OA). OA is a healthy unsaturated FA that makes up about 50% of peanut oil (Liu et al., 2018).
A combinatorial approach to ALS therapies in the PrP.TDP43-315 model of ALS; complications and tribulations
Abstract Effective treatment for sporadic amyotrophic lateral sclerosis has been steadily advancing towards combinatorial therapies. For many years, riluzole was the only approved drug and it offered modest benefits. In 2017, edaravone was approved for ALS and became the first drug to be used in combination with riluzole. In the present study, we have attempted to build on the concepts of combinatorial therapy by testing novel drug combinations in a transgenic mouse model.
