Monolithically integrated four-channel optoelectronic wind sensor with a mushroom-shaped sensitive structure
Abstract This paper presents a novel wind sensor based on a monolithically integrated four-channel optoelectronic chip and a mushroom-shaped sensitive structure. The four-channel optoelectronic chip consists of a centrally positioned light-emitting diode (LED) surrounded by four symmetrically arranged photodetectors (PDs). By employing monolithic integrated manufacturing technology, the consistency among the four PDs is significantly enhanced, thereby ensuring the overall symmetry of the sensor.
A photoinduced, FeX 3 -catalyzed, stereo- and regio-selective halofunctionalization of olefins with MX n via a radical-polar crossover reaction
Abstract The classical reaction for the halofunctionalization of olefins involves hazardous and highly toxic molecular halogens. The goal of chemists is to establish green, inherently safe, highly efficient and sustainable synthetic methods. Here, we report a green approach for the halofunctionalization of alkenes with MXn and FeX3, as well as a nucleophile at room temperature under visible-light irradiation in AcOH/CH3CN, without strong oxidants and any ligand.
Cardiovascular–kidney–metabolic syndrome as a mitochondrial systems disorder
Abstract Cardiovascular–kidney–metabolic (CKM) syndrome is a multisystem disorder in which obesity, diabetes, chronic kidney disease, and cardiovascular disease reinforce one another through shared pathobiological characteristics and bidirectional organ crosstalk. Rather than representing the mere coexistence of diseases, CKM syndrome can be understood as a mitochondrial systems disorder.
Integration of multi-omics and machine learning reveals sodium overload related molecular subtypes and biomarkers in sepsis
Abstract Sepsis is a life-threatening syndrome driven by a dysregulated host response to infection, and sodium dysregulation has recently emerged as a potential contributor to immune dysfunction and organ injury, yet its molecular signatures remain poorly characterized.
3D Culture Reverses Limbal Niche Cell Replicative Aging via FOSL1 Upregulation
1 Introduction The transparency of the cornea and good visual function depend on a healthy reservoir of limbal epithelial stem cells (LESCs), a cell population also known as limbal stem cells (LSCs) (Bonnet et al. 2021). Deficiency or dysfunction of LESCs disrupts the regeneration of the corneal epithelium, leading to limbal stem cell deficiency (LSCD).
HD-tDCS modulation of the DLPFC-HPC-EC pathway to enhance working memory in schizophrenia: a TMS-EEG Study
Abstract Schizophrenia (SCZ) is characterized by cognitive impairments, particularly in working memory (WM), which significantly impact patients‘ functional outcomes, yet effective interventions for these cognitive deficits remain limited.
Metabolic biomarkers of treatment-resistant schizophrenia and cognitive correlates: insights from a machine learning
Abstract Early identification of Treatment-resistant schizophrenia (TRS) remains a challenge. Metabolomics offers a promising strategy for identifying biomarkers and uncovering the metabolic alterations underlying TRS. Machine learning (ML), increasingly applied in omics research, enables the development of predictive models from complex datasets. This study aimed to develop a metabolomics-based ML model for TRS identification and to examine its association with cognitive impairments.
Dyscoordination of thalamic reticular spindles is associated with social memory deficits in mice and humans with autism spectrum disorder
Abstract Social memory, the ability to recognize and remember conspecifics, is frequently impaired in psychiatric disorders such as autism, yet the underlying mechanisms remain unclear. We examined the role of sleep spindles across non-rapid eye movement sleep in social memory consolidation, focusing on the sensory thalamic reticular nucleus (sTRN). Here we show that impaired spindles were associated with defective social memory.
Impacts of community health education on the blood pressure levels and self-management abilities of elderly patients with hypertension
Abstract Objective: The goal of this research was to explore the impacts of community health education on the blood pressure levels and self-management abilities of elderly patients suffering from hypertension. Methods: This study was a community-based, randomized controlled trial. Between January 2024 and January 2025, 200 hypertensive patients were randomly chosen from the Tianshui Wulin Street Community Health Service Center, to participate in the study.
Secondhand smoke exposure and human health: an umbrella review
Abstract Secondhand smoke exposure (SHSE) poses risks to human health, yet the evidence remains fragmented. To address this, we conducted an umbrella review (Registration No. CRD42024583424) to synthesize and evaluate epidemiological evidence across the lifespan.
Efficient preservation of old methane-derived organic carbon in deep-sea surface sediments
Abstract Methane released from the subseafloor is significantly attenuated during upward migration, yet the preservation of methane-derived organic carbon (OC) in global deep-sea sediments remains poorly understood. Here, we measured carbon isotopes coupled with temperature-ramped analyses on various methane seepage sediments. Our results reveal a correlation between the radiocarbon (14C) content in deep-sea surface sediments and sulfate-methane transition depth.
Bioresorbable electrochemical sensors for continuous deep-tissue lactate monitoring in critical care
|
Abstract Lactate is a key metabolite and prognostic biomarker, reflecting oxygen delivery, cellular demand, and mitochondrial function. Current clinical lactate monitoring, however, relies on intermittent blood sampling, limiting localized interrogation, dynamic tracking and early intervention in critical care. Here, we report a bioresorbable and flexible electrochemical sensor for continuous deep-tissue lactate monitoring.

Powering the mind: deciphering the shared genetic architecture between mitochondrial DNA copy number and major psychiatric disorders - Molecular Psychiatry
Abstract Mitochondrial DNA copy number (mtDNA-CN) reflects mitochondrial function and has been associated with several psychiatric disorders. However, the shared genetic architecture between mtDNA-CN and psychiatric conditions remains largely unexplored.

Parametric Study on Mechanical Behavior of Beam-Column Joint with L-Shaped Components
1. Introduction In the field of China’s construction industry, nearly all beam-to-column connections are semi-rigid and exhibit excellent deformation and energy dissipation capacities. Therefore, the study and application of semi-rigid connections in steel structures is essential. There are various types and forms of semi-rigid connections, among which the top and bottom angle steel connections and end-plate connections are two typical forms.
