Population Pharmacokinetic Model Assessment of the Effects of Body Weight on Risk of Drug–Drug Interactions After Posaconazole Discontinuation
1 Introduction Posaconazole is a broad-spectrum triazole antifungal agent indicated for the prophylaxis and treatment of refractory invasive fungal infections in patients ≥ 2 years of age, as well as for the primary treatment of invasive aspergillosis in adult and adolescent patients [1, 2]. The pharmacokinetics (PK) of posaconazole have been extensively characterized, with study populations encompassing a diverse range of individuals in terms of demographic and clinical characteristics [3-5].
The Future Belongs to the Proactive Worker
Editor's note: Posts published on From the Workplace are written by outside contributors and do not necessarily reflect the views or opinions of SHRM. "We are made wise not by the recollection of our past, but by responsibility for our future." — George Bernard Shaw The Shaw quote describes our regrettably neglected ability to be more proactive — taking responsibility for and strategically shaping our best possible futures.
The Work of a World War II Submarine Patrol
The work of exquisite cursive handwriting (the author was a proud graduate of the 8th grade) During a recent podcast conversation with my friend and fellow Substack writer Autonomous Truck(er)s , our discussion of fathers and grandfathers impelled me to return to the essential work of transcribing Grandfather Bateman’s World War II diary and complete it in advance of Memorial Day here in the USA. I've had these faded diary pages for decades but could never bring myself to fully transcribe them.
The power to save the planet is inside us all - how to get past despair to powerful action on climate change
Our species is in a race with climate change, and a lot of people want to know, “Can I really make a difference?” The question concerns what’s known as agency. Its meaning is complex, but in a nutshell it means being able to do what you set out to do and believing you can succeed. How well people exercise their agency will determine the severity of global warming – and its consequences. The evidence is clear that people are changing the climate dramatically.

The question concerns what’s known as agency. Its meaning is complex, but in a nutshell it means being able to do what you set out to do and believing you can succeed. The evidence is clear that people are changing the climate dramatically. But human actions can also affect the climate for the better by reducing fossil fuel burning and carbon emissions. It’s not too late to avert the worst effects of climate change, but time is running out.

Today’s worsening climate crisis needs the leaders of tomorrow
After 2023 broke the record for hottest year ever recorded, January and February broke global records again. This year’s climate-related disasters include sprawling wildfires in Texas cattle country and Mexico City’s unprecedented and intensifying water crisis. Meanwhile, continuing temperature increases will bring more air pollution, respiratory disease, pandemics, malnutrition, dehydration, malaria, strokes and other threats that will cause countless more deaths than extreme weather events.
A paradox theory lens on proactivity, individual ambidexterity, and creativity: An empirical look
1 INTRODUCTION Adaptability and agility are non-stop requirements of our ever-evolving business environment, aggravated by the challenges of dealing with seemingly contradictory demands on employees at every level (Kauppila & Tempelaar, 2016; Mu et al., 2022; Zhang et al., 2022). Competing responsibilities include performing well in short and long runs and applying current work methods while searching for and experimenting with new ones.
A psychology-based recipe for climate action Original
Recent brutal weather will be everyday life if we fail to act on climate change. Our planet’s north and south poles experienced record heatwaves —simultaneously —in March of this year. The Texas power grid failed last year, and demand recently exceeded California’s and New York’s combined.
Maine Voices: Climate agency and urgency - surrender is not an option
Several Maine news items prompt me to write about climate change. One is an excellent Press Herald article (“Weatherization, heat pumps, EVs: State pushes energy cost solutions, but can you do them this year?” April 10) about climate-friendly home improvements and “Maine’s ongoing vulnerability and dependence on fossil fuels.” A second is Maine’s wildfire season .
THE CONVERSATION: ‘I can do this’ – How people can boost their agency to avert the worst effects of the climate crisis
