The organelle oxidative-inflammatory network in polycystic ovary syndrome: from subcellular intercellular cascades to systemic comorbidities
Abstract Polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) transcends localized reproductive dysfunction, manifesting as a systemic metabolic disorder driven primarily by insulin resistance (IR) and chronic inflammation. The condition was recently redesignated as polyendocrinometabolic syndrome (PMOS) to better reflect this systemic pathophysiology.
Molecular dynamics analysis of 3’ dangling-end stabilization at an AU-rich RNA helix terminus
Abstract Single unpaired nucleotides adjacent to RNA helix termini, commonly termed dangling ends, can measurably modulate local helix stability through sequence-dependent stacking interactions. Here, we use all-atom molecular dynamics simulations to investigate the contribution of single-nucleotide 3′ dangling ends to the stability of an RNA helix terminus containing an AAUU terminal motif.

Correction to: Nature Methods https://doi.org/10.1038/s41592-024-02553-7, published online 10 December 2024. In the original publication, two DIA datasets—the dose-response rapamycin dataset corresponding to Extended Fig. 1b, d and the dose-response HSP90 inhibitor dataset corresponding to Supplementary Fig. 21—were searched using Spectronaut version 18.1. All other DIA datasets were searched using Spectronaut version 15.3, as now clarified in the Methods “DIA spectra analysis” subsection.
ADHD-anchored partitioning of non-small cell lung cancer genetic covariance identifies CLPTM1L and suggestive innate-immune signals
Abstract Background: Individuals with attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) show an elevated incidence of non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC), usually attributed to smoking. Innate immune activation and chronic inflammation are implicated in both, yet whether shared germline genetics include a component statistically independent of the measured current-smoking phenotype, and whether that liability has an innate immune dimension, remains unclear.
Synchronized Imaging of Hydrogen Peroxide and Hydroxyl Radical in Pyroptosis and Epilepsy
1 Introduction Epilepsy is one of the most common and refractory neurological disorders, affecting over 70 million people worldwide, and is characterized by recurrent, spontaneous seizures that severely impair quality of life and increase the risk of neurodegeneration, psychiatric comorbidities, and sudden death [1, 2]. Despite intensive research, the molecular pathogenesis of epilepsy remains elusive due to its heterogeneous etiology and multifactorial nature.

ABSTRACT After one year of operation, S30408 heat exchange tubes in an economiser of an oil residue hydrogenation unit leaked. Examinations included macroscopy, chemical analysis, hardness testing, scanning electron microscopy with energy-dispersive spectroscopy (SEM-EDS), micro-area X-ray diffraction (micro-XRD), metallography, and electron backscatter diffraction (EBSD).
Annealing of skyrmion lattice in van der Waals magnet via field modulation
Abstract In atomic solids, annealing transforms disordered structures into ordered crystals through thermal activation, whereas realizing a comparable process in quasiparticle lattices is highly desirable. Magnetic skyrmions are topological spin textures that can form ordered lattice and undergo equilibrium phase transitions, yet thermal activation is insufficient to overcome their kinetic constraints or provide tunable control.
Fibroblast-derived gremlin-1 Is associated with ovarian cancer-cell phenotypes in co-culture models
Abstract Background: Cancer-associated fibroblasts (CAFs) can modify ovarian cancer-cell behavior through paracrine signals, but the contribution of CAF-derived Gremlin-1 remains incompletely defined.

ALKBH5 aggravates scarring after glaucoma surgery via m 6 A–YTHDF2-mediated NLRP3 mRNA stabilization
Abstract Glaucoma is a leading cause of irreversible blindness, and for patients unresponsive to medical therapy, glaucoma filtration surgery (GFS) is the primary intervention to lower intraocular pressure (IOP). However, postoperative scarring often leads to surgical failure. Here, we identify RNA demethylase ALKBH5 as a key regulator of fibrotic remodeling after GFS via an epitranscriptomic mechanism involving N6-methyladenosine (m6A) modification.

Peptide-centric local stability assay (PELSA) for sensitive identification of ligand-targeting proteins and binding sites at proteome scale
Abstract The peptide-centric local stability assay (PELSA) was developed to identify the protein targets and binding regions of diverse ligands at a proteome-wide scale. In this approach, the ligand is added to a cell lysate, and the proteins are digested for a short, defined time period using 0.5 mg ml−1 trypsin. Protein regions involved in ligand binding show less digestion, making it possible to identify binding sites and even quantify binding activity by dose-dependent analysis.

Spin-transition modulated light-emitting devices in a 2D magnet
Abstract Emerging two-dimensional magnetic semiconductors represent transformative platforms to explore magneto-optics and opto-spintronic applications. Though two-dimensional opto-spintronics has attracted tremendous research efforts in spin-dependent photodetectors and non-volatile memory components, the realization of one core application - spin-modulated light-emitting device - remains elusive so far.
Spontaneous emergence of Dzyaloshinskii-Moriya interaction via field-cooling-induced interface engineering in 2D ferromagnetic ternary tellurides
Abstract Room-temperature skyrmions in the two-dimensional (2D) van der Waals (vdW) ferromagnet Fe3GaTe2 (FGaT) hold great promise for spintronics. However, the origin of the necessary Dzyaloshinskii-Moriya interaction (DMI) within its centrosymmetric lattice remains elusive. Here, we reveal a spontaneous DMI emergence mechanism driven by field cooling (FC) in FGaT and its analog Fe3GeTe2 (FGeT).

Phylogenetic Relatedness Determines Heterospecific Pollen-Pistil Compatibility and Reproductive Outcome in the Apocarpous Species Sagittaria trifolia (Alismataceae) - Zou - 2026 - Ecology and Evolution - Wiley Online Library
1 Introduction Sympatric coflowering plants often share pollinators, and consequently heterospecific pollen (HP) deposition is common (Morales and Traveset 2008; Moreira-Hernández and Muchhala 2019). The surface of stigma cells serves as the receptive site of pollen grains, playing a key role in discriminating between conspecific pollen (CP) and HP (Hülskamp et al. 1995; Edlund et al. 2004).
A fluorescent probe for concurrent detection of cysteine, homocysteine, and superoxide anion
Abstract Redox imbalance is a key factor in the pathogenesis of diseases such as epilepsy and liver injury. Superoxide anion (O2•−), cysteine (Cys), and homocysteine (Hcy) play central roles in maintaining redox homeostasis, and their dysregulation drives oxidative stress and disease progression. Here, we report a multifunctional fluorescent probe, BPC, capable of simultaneously and selectively detecting Cys, Hcy, and O2•− in complex biological environments.

Analysis of fatigue failure in carbon fibre reinforced 316 austenitic stainless steel gas cylinder
ABSTRACT This study investigates the premature fatigue failure of a carbon-fibre-reinforced 316 austenitic stainless-steel gas cylinder that leaked after only 5,294 pressure cycles (102–2 MPa), corresponding to 15 % of its design life. A multi-scale analysis combining SEM, EBSD, microhardness, and metallography reveals that the failure was governed by a strain-localisation-driven dislocation-slip mechanism, rather than martensitic transformation or corrosion.
A modified creep life prediction method based on nanoindentation characterisation for P92 steel
ABSTRACT The creep life prediction of alloys has been an important issue in the design, operation and maintenance of nuclear and thermal power plants where P92 steel was widely used in the components operating at elevated temperatures. In this work, conventional creep experiments at different applied stresses were performed at 650℃. Results indicate that both the applied stress and creep cavities significantly influence the creep behaviour of P92 steel.
