G3BP2 confers venetoclax resistance by stabilizing ELF1-mediated MCL1 transcription in acute myeloid leukemia
Abstract Venetoclax is a promising treatment for acute myeloid leukemia (AML) patients, but resistance occurs following the upregulation of MCL1. The RNA-binding protein G3BP2 is upregulated in various solid tumors, and targeting G3BP2 has been shown to restore chemosensitivity. However, the role of G3BP2 in AML development and venetoclax resistance remains unknown. Herein, an integrated analysis revealed that G3BP2 confers venetoclax resistance and correlates with poor outcomes in AML.
White cell - platelet ratio: A strong indicator for early mortality in liver cirrhosis patients with esophagogastric varices
Abstract Esophagogastric varices (EGV) in liver cirrhosis patients within the intensive care unit (ICU) is a significant medical concern. This study aims to develop and validate a machine learning (ML) model to predict the early mortality of those patients. Medical information was extracted from Intensive Care (MIMIC)-IV database, and 793 cirrhotic patients accompanied with EGV were enrolled, randomly assigned to the training group and the test group in a 7:3 ratio.
Chronic Hepatitis B in the Asia-Pacific Region: Results of the 2023 Global Burden of Disease Study
Chronic hepatitis B (CHB) is a major global health challenge and a leading cause of liver-related mortality. Despite effective vaccines and therapies, Hepatitis B Virus (HBV) infection causes significant liver cirrhosis and hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). In 2022, an estimated 257.5 million people were living with CHB globally. This resulted in approximately 0.5–0.8 million annual deaths.
Layer-number-parity-dependent abnormal magnetic ordering in few-layer CrI3 on N-face AlN substrate
Abstract The research about two-dimensional van der Waals magnetic materials has advanced the breakthroughs in ultrathin magnetic devices. We experimentally demonstrate that a single-crystal N-face AlN polar substrate can program layer-number-parity-dependent magnetic multistates and their evolution sequence in few-layer CrI3.
Spatially anisotropic Kondo resonance coupled with the superconducting gap in a kagome metal
Abstract The chromium-based kagome metal CsCr3Sb5 has garnered broad interest owing to its strong electron correlations, intertwined orders and potential for unconventional superconductivity under high pressure. The evolution of magnetic and superconducting interactions as the more frequently studied CsV3Sb5 is doped to CsCr3Sb5 remains poorly understood.
A Sc 2 C 2 @C 88 -cluster-based ultra-compact multilevel probabilistic bit for matrix multiplication
Abstract Information units are progressively approaching the fundamental physical limits of integration density, including in terms of extremely small sizes, multistates and probabilistic traversal. However, simultaneously encompassing all of these characteristics in a unit remains elusive. Here, via real-time in situ electrical monitoring, we clearly observed stochastic alterations of multiple conductance states in Sc2C2@C88.

TRIM25 promotes glioblastoma progression by stabilizing HIF-1α expression in normoxia through K11/K29 polyubiquitination
Abstract Glioblastoma (GBM) frequently activates hypoxia signaling even under normoxic conditions, yet the mechanism sustaining hypoxia-inducible factor-1α (HIF-1α) stability remains unclear. Here, we identify the E3 ubiquitin ligase TRIM25 as a key driver of this phenomenon. TRIM25, aberrantly upregulated in GBM, directly binds HIF-1α and catalyzes K11/K29-linked polyubiquitination at lysine 532 of hydroxylated HIF-1α, preventing its canonical proteasomal degradation.
Supramolecular engineering of amyloid-inspired tripeptide assemblies enabling tunable piezoelectricity
Abstract Rational molecular design of short peptides represents an effective strategy for modulating supramolecular architectures and piezoelectricity of peptide assemblies. However, the impact of peptide sequence and side chain chemistry on the piezoelectric properties of assemblies remains largely unexplored.

Metallic charge transport in conjugated molecular bilayers - Nature Electronics
|
Abstract Metallic charge transport of field-induced carriers can be observed in single-crystal silicon over a wide temperature range. Such behaviour is rare in undoped organic semiconductors but is beneficial for engineering devices with advanced performance. Here we report metallic charge transport in conjugated molecular bilayers down to 8 K with an electrical conductivity of up to 245 S cm−1 and a Hall mobility larger than 100 cm2 V−1 s−1 at 20 K.

Comparative blueberry pollination efficacy of Bombus terrestris and two Apis species in greenhouses
Due to the weak self-pollination of blueberries, pollinators are essential in greenhouse blueberry production. In this study, we examined foraging activity and pollen deposition after the flowers were visited by three pollinators (Bombus terrestris Linnaeus, Apis mellifera Linnaeus and Apis cerana Fabricius) in “Bluesouth (M7)” plants grown in greenhouses. Single visit duration of A. mellifera (18.55 ± 0.44 s) was significantly longer than those of A. cerana (12.66 ± 0.17 s) and B.
Ferromagnetism and correlated insulating states in monolayer Mo33Te56 - Nature Communications
Abstract Although the kagome model is fundamentally two-dimensional, the essential kagome physics, i.e., the kagome-bands-driven emergent electronic states, has yet to be explored in the monolayer limit. Here, we present the experimental realization of kagome physics in monolayer Mo33Te56, showcasing both ferromagnetic ordering and a correlated insulating state with an energy gap of up to 15 meV.

Layered stomatal immunity contributes to resistance of Vitis riparia against downy mildew Plasmopara viticola
Abstract Downy mildew (DM), caused by Plasmopara viticola, is one of the most serious grapevine diseases. Resistant grapevines are a well-known tool for mitigating pathogen-caused damage. We evaluated 29 global grapevine cultivars from 7 species for the sensitivity to P. viticola. Chardonnay belonging to the sensitive species V. vinifera and Qingdahean belonging to the well-known resistant species V. riparia were chosen for further investigation on the resistance mechanism against DM.
