Beauvericin exhibits antitumor activity in pancreatic cancer cells: Integrative analysis suggests potential modulation of the KEAP1-NRF2-HMOX1 axis and survival signaling pathways
Abstract To investigate the anticancer effects of Beauvericin (BEA) and elucidate its potential mechanisms in pancreatic cancer cells, a malignancy characterized by marked heterogeneity and frequent chemoresistance. The effects of BEA on the proliferation, migration and apoptosis of Mia PaCa-2 cells were evaluated via CCK-8, colony formation, Transwell and flow cytometry assays.
SPP1 overexpression is linked to unfavorable outcomes in patients with ALK/TP53 co-mutated lung cancer
Abstract Patients with ALK/TP53 co-mutated lung cancer experience notably worse progression-free survival (PFS) and overall survival (OS) than those with TP53 wildtype. Nevertheless, the precise molecular mechanism underlying poor survival of patients with ALK/TP53 co-mutated lung cancer is unclear. In the cohort of 77 patients with ALK-rearranged lung cancer, TP53 mutations were identified in fifteen cases (19.5%).
Case Report: SAPHO syndrome mimicking osseous relapse after haploidentical allogeneic hematopoietic stem cell transplantation for acute myeloid leukemia
Abstract Background: New bone pain and destructive skeletal lesions after allogeneic hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (allo-HSCT) raise concern for malignant relapse or infection. Synovitis, acne, pustulosis, hyperostosis, and osteitis (SAPHO) syndrome is an uncommon inflammatory disorder that may produce overlapping imaging findings. Case presentation: A 19-year-old man with acute myeloid leukemia underwent haploidentical allo-HSCT in second complete remission.
Knowledge, attitude, and practice toward osteoporosis among middle-aged and elderly women in northeastern coastal areas of China
Abstract Osteoporosis is highly prevalent among postmenopausal and elderly women due to hormonal changes and aging-related bone loss. This study evaluated the knowledge, attitudes, and practices (KAP) regarding osteoporosis among middle-aged and elderly women in northeastern coastal China. This cross-sectional study included women aged ≥ 50 years between December 2022 and March 2023. A structured questionnaire assessed demographic characteristics and KAP dimensions.
Body mass index–related heterogeneity in diaphragm thickening fraction response to exercise training in stable chronic obstructive pulmonary disease
Abstract Background: Diaphragmatic dysfunction contributes to exercise intolerance in COPD, but whether BMI shapes baseline function and response to exercise remains unclear. This secondary analysis characterized BMI-related diaphragmatic phenotypes and whether diaphragm thickening fraction (TFdi) links exercise training to functional improvement. Methods: Data were analyzed from 103 patients with stable COPD in a completed 2×2 factorial randomized trial.
Dual-Substrate Synergistic Photocatalysis: Exogenous Reagent-Free Co-Removal of Phenol and Cr(VI) via Electron-Donor-Mediated Redox Coupling over Modified Carbon Nitride
1 Introduction Rapid industrialization has led to the simultaneous discharge of organic pollutants and heavy metals into aquatic ecosystems, creating complex contamination matrices that challenge conventional remediation technologies [1]. Phenolic compounds, ubiquitous in effluents from coal chemical, petroleum refining, and pharmaceutical industries, exhibit acute toxicity and recalcitrance to biodegradation [2, 3].
A universal scaling law of intra-urban inequality
Abstract Large-scale urban agglomeration yields economic benefits but often coincides with pronounced environmental and social disparities. While aggregate urban attributes follow predictable scaling laws, how intra-urban inequality scales with city size remains unclear. To bridge this gap, we analyze over 11,000 global urban centers using multi-source satellite data to quantify inequalities in thermal exposure, green space, and economic activity.
Intellectual disability-causing mutations in KIF11 impair microtubule dynamics and dendritic arborization
Abstract Microcephaly with or without chorioretinopathy, lymphedema, or intellectual disabilities (MCLID) is a rare disease caused by mutations in the mitotic motor KIF11. However, the specific neuronal functions of KIF11, its mechanisms of microtubule (MT) regulation, and the impact of MCLID mutations on KIF11 function remain underexplored. Here, using live-imaging, we find that KIF11 depletion in postmitotic neurons increases minus-end-out MT dynamics in both axons and dendrites.

Analysis of copy number variations and candidate genes in recurrent pregnancy loss
The clinical incidence of spontaneous abortion is about 15%, with recurrent pregnancy loss (RPL) occurring in around 5%, a figure that has shown an upward trend in recent years (Dimitriadis et al., 2020). Internationally, the definition of RPL varies in regard to the number of occurrences, gestational week limit, consecutive events, and the inclusion of biochemical pregnancies.
miR-101/METTL3 axis induces autophagy by interrupting FOXG1/EIF3J-AS1 binding in gliomas - Cell Death & Disease
Abstract The role of autophagy in glioma remains controversial, with long non-coding RNAs (lncRNAs) playing a crucial role in its regulation. N6-methyladenosine (m6A) modification influences lncRNA expression and function. Specifically, lncRNA EIF3J-AS1 acts as an oncogene in glioma, yet the mechanisms driving its upregulation remain unclear.
Immune cell regulatory networks in chronic obstructive pulmonary disease: mechanistic analysis from innate to adaptive immunity
1 Introduction Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) represents a prevalent respiratory disorder characterized by persistent airflow limitation, manifesting clinically as progressive worsening of dyspnea, chronic cough, sputum production, and ultimately predisposing to life-threatening complications including respiratory and cardiac failure when left uncontrolled.

Integrated pancancer analysis reveals the oncogene characteristics and prognostic value of DIP2B in breast cancer - BMC Cancer
The protein encoded by the DIP2B gene contains a binding site for transcriptional regulation by DNA methyltransferase 1-associated protein 1 and also contains AMP binding sites. The presence of these sites suggests that the DIP2B protein may take part in DNA methylation [2]. Hypermethylation of DNA CpG islands in the promoter region of key growth regulators (e.g., tumour suppressors) is a major pathway for the origin of many cancers [20].

Rapid Identification of Insecticide- and Herbicide-Tolerant Genetically Modified Maize Using Mid-Infrared Spectroscopy
Abstract : Genetically modified (GM) technology is of great significance for increasing crop production, protecting biodiversity, and reducing environmental pollution. However, with the frequent occurrence of safety events regarding GM foods, more and more disputes have arisen over the potential safety of transgenic technology. It is particularly necessary to find a fast and accurate method for transgenic product identification.
