HJB Equation and Least Square Transform Based Optimal Control Design With Convergence Analysis
1 Introduction The advent of optimal control in industrial systems can be traced back to the 1960s, when the novel theory for determining the smallest or largest index of system responses [1] was invented. The method attempts to seek optimal solution of a system with the integral performance index and some constraints, applied in the field of control science, including embedded devices, electrical grids, and aeronautics.

B cells in cancer: functions, mechanisms and therapeutic advances
Abstract Across various cancer entities, a wide array of subtypes of B cells that infiltrate tumors can be identified. These subtypes confer these cells with high adaptability in their functions and significant involvement in tumor progression. Tumor-infiltrating B cells act as distinctive microenvironmental mediators that build tertiary lymphoid structures, secrete diverse factors, and generate a wide antibody repertoire, thereby offering a valuable indicator of immunotherapy response.
Association between high-altitude erythrocytosis and arterial stiffness in long-term high-altitude residents
Abstract High-altitude erythrocytosis (HAE) may have vascular implications, but its association with arterial stiffness in long-term high-altitude residents remains unclear. We conducted a cross-sectional study of adults from Chengdu and high-altitude areas of Sichuan Province between January 2024 and February 2026. After excluding participants with ankle-brachial index <0.90 or atrial fibrillation, 3346 participants were included (2271 low-altitude and 1075 high-altitude residents).
Tocilizumab-induced inflammatory flare in Takayasu arteritis: a case report with exploratory mechanistic findings of Fcγ receptor involvement
Abstract Background: To report a refractory Takayasu arteritis (TAK) patient who developed a severe inflammatory flare after tocilizumab (TCZ) therapy and explore the underlying mechanism. Case presentation: A 21-year-old female with active TAK received TCZ after insufficient response to prednisone. TCZ was temporarily withheld then re-added at 400 mg due to disease relapse.

Temporal and spatial dynamics of hepatitis incidence in China based on the STWR model
Abstract To achieve the goal of “eliminating viral hepatitis as a public health threat by 2030” proposed by the World Health Organization, we explore the spatio-temporal dynamics of hepatitis incidence in China to provide reference for research, prevention, and control of hepatitis and other public health diseases. Local Indicators of Spatial Association (LISA) and Mann-Kendall (MK) trend tests were used to analyze the spatial-temporal variation of hepatitis incidence in China from 2012 to 2019.

Pt size-dependent reverse oxygen spillover on Sn-doped Pt/TiO2 for CO oxidation - Nature Communications
Abstract Interfacial oxygen migration from support to noble metal active sites, termed reverse oxygen spillover, represents a critical metal-support interaction influencing the performance of Pt/TiO2 catalysts. In this study, we uncover a size effect of Pt particles on reverse oxygen spillover in Pt/Sn0.2Ti0.8O2 catalysts via a combination of in situ characterizations with ab initio molecular dynamics simulations.
Paroxysmal hypertension unmasked by a rare urethral paraganglioma - Journal of Human Hypertension
Pheochromocytomas and paragangliomas (PPGLs) are rare neuroendocrine tumors arising from the adrenal medulla or the sympathetic nervous system. These tumors are characterized by the synthesis, secretion and release of excessive catecholamines, leading to a series of clinical manifestations, including paroxysmal elevation of blood pressure (BP), headache, palpitations, diaphoresis, nausea, fatigue, anxiety, and metabolic disturbances [1].

Export Liberalisation and Water Pollution: Firm‐Level Evidence From China
This paper investigates the effect of export liberalisation on water pollution emissions. With data on Chinese firm-level water pollution emissions around China's accession to the World Trade Organization, we identify a negative causal effect of export liberalisation on firm-level water pollution intensity using the exogenous shock to trade policy uncertainty.

VRK2 targeting potentiates anti-PD-1 immunotherapy in hepatocellular carcinoma through MYC destabilization - Nature Communications
Abstract Dysregulation of MYC proto-oncogene, bHLH transcription factor (MYC) represents a common yet mechanistically unresolved driver of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). While MYC remains an elusive therapeutic target, developing strategies to promote its degradation emerges as a promising alternative approach. Here we show that vaccinia-related kinase 2 (VRK2) functions as a direct MYC-interacting kinase that stabilizes the oncoprotein through phosphorylation at Serine (Ser)281/293.
Riplet promotes lipid metabolism changes associated with CD8 T cell exhaustion and anti-PD-1 resistance in hepatocellular carcinoma
Editor’s summary Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) is typically resistant to current immunotherapy treatments, but mechanisms causing resistance are poorly understood. Liang et al. show that the promotor of the E3 ubiquitin ligase Riplet is silenced by hypermethylation in HCC, which alters fatty acid metabolism and results in terminal exhaustion of CD8 T cells.
Kirkendall effect triggered by trace Mn element on Ni-N-C catalyst for Enhanced CO2 Electroreduction to CO
Kirkendall effect triggered by trace Mn element on Ni-N-C catalyst for Enhanced CO2 Electroreduction to CO Nitrogen-doped carbon-metal single-atom catalysts (M-N-C) derived from Metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) are promising for electrocatalytic carbon dioxide reduction. In recent years, various strategies have been developed to improve the activity of metal sites. However, these methods make catalyst preparation complicated and usually solve just a single issue.
Application of moving-bed reactor for effective hydrogenation of CO2 captured with a dual-function material to enhance the concentration of the gaseous product of methane
Measures for CO2 capture and utilization [1], [2] are urgently required to mitigate global warming. Numerous studies have been conducted on the physical or chemical capture of CO2 and its subsequent conversion via hydrogenation with green hydrogen into fuels or valuable chemicals, such as methane and methanol [3], [4], [5], [6], [7], [8]. Recently, a novel thermochemical process integrating CO2 capture and conversion using dual-function materials (DFMs) was proposed [9], [10], [11], [12], [13].

Understanding gut dysbiosis for hepatocellular carcinoma diagnosis and treatment
Highlights Gut dysbiosis has been implicated in the pathogenesis of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) arising from diverse etiological factors. Microbe-associated molecular patterns (MAMPs), microbial metabolites, and fungi are capable of modulating the metabolic pathways and immune composition of the HCC microenvironment. The gut microbiome holds potential as a novel tool for early diagnosis and evaluation of the outcome response, especially to immune checkpoint inhibitors (ICIs).
