The G protein-casein kinase 2 module acts as a pivot in plasma membrane-to-nucleus CLAVATA signaling to control shoot apical meristem size
Abstract The canonical CLAVATA3 (CLV3)-WUSCHEL (WUS) feedback loop functions in shoot apical meristem (SAM) maintenance that directly determines angiosperm shoot architecture and crop yield. However, how CLV3 signaling is transmitted into the nucleus to inhibit WUS expression remains a long-standing mystery. Here, we found that the Cucumis sativus CLV3 (CsCLV3) promotes the nuclear translocation of the CLV receptor-associated Gα protein CsGPA1.
Melatonin alleviates airway inflammation and anxiety-depression in asthma via gut microbiota–SCFA axis-mediated inhibition of microglial activation
Abstract Background: Asthma frequently co-occurs with anxiety and depression, yet the mechanisms underlying this lung-brain comorbidity remain elusive. The gut-lung-brain axis has emerged as a potential key mediator. Methods: Using an ovalbumin (OVA)-induced murine asthma model, we administered melatonin or sodium butyrate via drinking water.
Metabolomic profiling of goji fermentation: enhancing functional metabolites with high-glucose-adaptive LAB
Abstract Hyper-osmotic stress in high-sugar fruits inhibits the fermentation performance of lactic acid bacteria (LAB). Besides, there is a prevailing trend of low-sugar diets for health concern. Therefore, it is essential to develop LAB strains with high-sugar tolerance and efficient sugar metabolism. In this study, three high-sugar-adaptive strains (2–12 mutations) were obtained through random mutagenesis and screening at 150 g/L glucose.
Photocatalytic four-component reaction to access covalent organic frameworks for photocatalysis - Nature Communications
Abstract Photocatalytic four-component reaction is an efficient and environmentally friendly synthetic strategy known for its step economy and operational simplicity, enabling the preparation of diverse organic products. However, its application in synthesizing covalent organic frameworks (COFs) remains unexplored. Here, we report the rational synthesis of a class of functionalized COFs with high crystallinity and permanent porosity via the photocatalytic four-component reaction.
A vortex‐induced vibration warning method based on ensemble‐learning‐embedded neural network
1 INTRODUCTION Long-span bridges are key-stone points in transportation networks, which directly affect the safety of the transportation system and hold significant importance for economic and social activities. Wind-induced vibration is one of the most significant challenges encountered in the design and operation phases of long-span bridges. Numerous cases have occurred where wind-induced vibrations have caused damage to bridge structures, forcing the bridges to cease operation.

Multicomponent one-pot construction of benzo[f]quinoline-linked covalent organic frameworks for H2O2 photosynthesis - Nature Communications
Abstract The exploration of stable and functional linkages by multicomponent reactions to enrich the stability and diversity of covalent organic frameworks (COFs) and to broaden their potential applications is of fundamental significance to the development of COFs. Herein, we report the facile construction of a set of benzo[f]quinoline-linked COFs (B[f]QCOFs) via one-pot three-component [4 + 2] cyclic condensation of aldehydes and aromatic amines with easy-to-handle triethylamine as the vinyl...

N-Haloimide-enabled halogenation via halogen-bond-assisted C-C activation of alkanols
N-Haloimide-enabled halogenation via halogen-bond-assisted C–C activation of alkanols† Yan Geng,a Yue Ma,a Rui Huang,a Xingwei Lib and Songjie Yu *ab Abstract The selective halogenation of the inert C–C bonds of alcohol-based feedstock is of tremendous significance in synthetic chemistry. Previous halogenation usually requires a metal catalyst and/or an oxidant and is limited to the cleavage of the C–C bonds of tertiary cycloalkanols.

Cyclin E in normal physiology and disease states
Highlights Cyclin E, a cell cycle protein, has a variety of non-canonical, cell cycle-independent physiological roles, such as regulating liver function, neurophysiology, spermatogenesis, and stem cell maintenance. The diversity of the physiological functions of cyclin E is achieved through activation or inhibition of CDKs, and possibly also via kinase-independent mechanisms. Cyclin E is frequently overexpressed in cancer.
